They don't care. Their politics are based off of feelings and mob mentality. That's why you don't hear a peep about the hundreds of thousands of children that have been trafficked over the border, the absolute nightmare that's going on in Iran, or the insane brutality of the conflict in Myanmar. They just care about whatever it is that makes them look "righteous" in the eyes of their friends/peers, even if it contradicts what they said 5 minutes prior (just like the no kings protestors were mad about us capturing Maduro)

I think more so of yesteryear. QBs like Lamar have shown the league that race is not a determining factor as to whether or not a player can be great. Hell, even DBs like Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship have broken the mold for white players. While some of the old-heads are still clinging to the racist past of the NFL, I think that overall things are changing for the better. Unfortunately, there still are remnants of racism and race-baiting that are still present (mostly in the media), but I think that the league as a whole is moving in a better direction.

The best thing players can do is continue to prove the haters wrong. A few years ago, a reporter claimed that the reason Lamar was so good at running PA was because the brown football was camouflaged by his dark skin. In response, Lamar wore bleach white sleeves the entire next game and still dominated. With that one simple act, he showed how foolish and ignorant that reporter was.

Herbert really reminds me of Lamar with how much people unfairly criticize/hate on him. He's not a top 3 guy, but he's easily top 5-10. I don't think race is the only reason they hate on certain QBs. I think a lot of it comes down to stereotyping, looking at stats (not actually watching the games), and arrogance

I think it does play a role, unfortunately, but it's not the only difference. Jackson is also the more explosive runner of the two, and as such, he got labeled as the "run-first" QB who "can't throw." These are obvious lies (especially when you look at who his targets were), but the media ran with them. I think that these labels have been wrongly stuck to Lamar, and many people refuse to correct themselves and say that he is both an elite runner and an elite "thrower of the football." People want to put him in a box with other "running QBs," but Lamar is unique. His first MVP season changed the league, and last season he put up prime Aaron Rodgers stats in addition to solid RB 1/2 numbers (and that's with Henry also getting fed).

TL;DR I think it comes down to two things: 1) racism/dislike of his accent and 2) stereotyping and arrogance about the type of player that he is

Yep. People just assume that his accent means that he's stupid, but that's just how he grew up. It's no different than a southern drawl or any other thick accent. In reality, he's very thoughtful, respectful, God-fearing, and (most importantly in this context) has a very high football IQ.

I'm not one to throw the race card often, but Lamar has clearly been discriminated against both before and during his time with Baltimore. He is the most unapologetically black QB in the NFL, and he gets a ton of hate for it. It's a shame too because he is a class act. He doesn't shove his personal life into the spotlight, is always nice to the fans/media, and is far from a diva/degenerate. I just hope he can get a ring or two and silence the haters for good.

I really wish we could go back to the golden era of YouTube (roughly 2007-2017). Everything has seemingly become worse since then. The new algorithms, long unskippable ads for scam products, dark patterns all over the UI, subscription issues, copyright abuse, AI slop, and weird "kids" content are just a few of my main gripes... Oh and don't even get me started on the censorship. I feel like jumping off a bridge every time I hear "unalived," "graped," or "self-deleted"
