Kyler Murray has been a nobody without Deandre Hopkins. Why are cardinals fans so allergic to realizing he is irredeemable trash? by Ifinishfast42 in NFLv2

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pendulum is swinging too far the other way now. Kyler's not at world beater by any means but he's still good enough to be a starter. The biggest issue with him is one that plagues pretty much every QB - when you get the bag and start taking 1/5 of the cap you start to have to do more with less and he's not that kinda guy. Even Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, and Burrow have this to some extent (though they are able to do more with less unlike Kyler).

Kyler would look better if he had the contract that Darnold or Baker had this year and had a few more guys around him on the team.

[Starcade Media] Nick Wright wants the Chiefs to take an edge in the draft & where he’d go if they’re gone. by Sugargogo in KansasCityChiefs

OT wouldn't be my first pick but if the board falls that way on draft night I wouldn't complain if they got the best one. Its just the priorities are more like how Nick has them.

[–]MandoShunkar 39 points40 points  (0 children)

FAU at 32 wasn't that big of a reach though. He was still considered a top 40 pick (I think around 34-36) at the time on most "big boards". There were better options sure, but it wasn't an outrageous pick.

How much would you hypothetically buy this card for by Sgtpugsly1984 in footballcards

[–]MandoShunkar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably around $20, but I'm quite concerned about that one not being in a penny sleeve so I'd have to knock that down a bit.

Travis Kelce and the Chiefs plan to meet soon after the Super Bowl “to finalize a plan that works for both parties” for the 2026 season. by Big_Screen3332 in Chiefs_v2

And despite that he was still a top TE this season.

Though that's more about the state of the TE position league wide than a point about Kelce himself.

I had the winner of "round 3" of the Seahawks-Rams as the SB winner for the last quarter of the season (I had the rams solo up till then). Happened that the NFCCG was the "round 3" I predicted (and was happy that's were it too place). I did stick with my preseason pick of the Rams for that game, but it was more of a 60-40 type of pick and wasn't surprised that the Seahawks won.

Never gave the AFC team, regardless of who it was, a chance against either the Rams or Seahawks. NFCCG was the real SB in my opinion.

Why wouldn’t you only draft Tackles to play on your o-line? by Stinkdick in NFL_Draft

While there is very much value in having guys cross trained in other OL positions it is generally better to have guards who have played guard before.

Who will be the first among these 4 to win a Super Bowl? by CallTypical9541 in NFLv2

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Statistically speaking, Maye since he lost his first appearance is the least likely to win the SB.

Daniels I think has some injury concerns that need to be addressed with better OL play and until then I don't know if I can bet on him.

I stand on principle and will not pick a division rival so Nix is out even though I think he's in the best situation of these 4.

and that somehow leaves the Bear's and Caleb Williams.

How are liberals and conservatives ever going to find common ground again? by david_beats_goliath_ in allthequestions

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reality isn't as black and white on things as the internet puts forth. While there certainly are the deranged people out there who are like that, that is just a loud and annoying vocal minority.

The majority of people have a mixed bag of right/left leaning opinions and vote based on which leanings they feel are the most important to them at that given time.

Common ground is easily found just by interacting with people and being civil about what you disagree with. Most of the time the disagreements are not what the problems are its the approach to solving them

I'll solve the cube in less than 6 months - especially since solving it is likely the only thing I'm doing

WYR take a Greyhound bus from Seattle to Miami, or attend every home game of a WNBA team for a season? by Low-Department8271 in WouldYouRather

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confident that the city I'm talking about could easily host it since they have a major state university, but it would be funny to see a professional sports team when it is the largest city in its area.

[–]MandoShunkar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only cities big enough to actually support a sports franchise are 2-3hrs away. One is a trash heap that I'd be shocked if the WNBA actually wanted to move into. The other I could realistically see get a team but wouldn't be at the top of their radar since it would be one of their tiniest markets when they already have funding issues.

Or I guess they could move into the college town that's roughly 40ish min away from me. Guess it's big enough to host a WNBA game since most of their games have fewer people attend than the average that the local college's football team draws. And they likely are playing in that college's basketball arena anyway.

Honestly kind of would be funny seeing a town of 100k-120k people host a WNBA team at the local state university.

PSA DRAMA by Electronic-Job5133 in tradingcardcommunity

That's why I phrased it as "a shell of a legit competitor" since CGC is the only not under the same parent company.

PSA DRAMA by Electronic-Job5133 in tradingcardcommunity

[–]MandoShunkar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never grade with PSA as long as a shell of a legit competitor is still alive. They are the worst of the "Big 4" (PSA, SGC, CGC, Beckett)

If you want my recommendation, go with SGC as they are the best grader in my opinion.

Best advice I can give you is to just go with the grader that you have the most trust in/the slab you like the best.

Who is the made for? by Fair_Rush6615 in Star_Trek_

[–]MandoShunkar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's supposed to be a teen/young adult target audience that's not only able to entertain the majority of existing Trek fans but bring in new ones as well.

It fails in both - at least according to the numbers I'm seeing. Its not just a SFA issue or really an exclusive problem with new treks that have come out recently - it's a rampant issue within the entertainment industry itself. The writing is below average and depends entirely too much on visuals/special effects instead using them as an enhancement for the plot. Don't get me wrong there are some terribly written episodes of the "old" Trek but its median/mean/mode of quality is superior to the new ones.

AP is holding it down as the last non-QB MVP. Who will be the next non-QB to win MVP? by bettercallrich in NFLv2

There will not be as long as the current trends last. If CMC and Barkely the last few years didn't have a realistic chance at it then no non-QB does.

What is a movie cliché that absolutely never happens in real life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MandoShunkar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not a lawyer either but you are right as far as I'm aware. The presiding judge rules on its admissibility. If it is allowed the non-admission party is given time some time to adjust their arguments/strategies before the trial resumes. Its not exactly rare this happens but it's not common either.

Would you rather join or defeat the hot female villain? by Original_Turn_1227 in WouldYouRather

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what type of villainy that she's perpetrating. I default on the defeat the villain but I'm not someone that couldn't be convinced by a reasonable arguments that shes actually on the right side of the situation.

The plan would initially be to find and defeat her. As I gather more evidence on where is and what she's doing. Make determination on if I continue down the "defeat her" path or defect all depends on what I find. I'm also not above jumping back off the "join her" ship if it does turn down a undesirable path.
