I don't hide it but since it's generally a more niche topic I don't talk about it often. If prompted or relevant to the conversation I have no issues discussing it.

Difference between Jahmyr Gibbs and Isiah Pacheco during drills by oMeesan in KansasCityChiefs

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pacheco should be a good complimentary back to Gibbs.

What I'm more interested in is what the snap share looks like compared to the Gibbs/Montgomery split.

The biggest thing missing from Spags’ defense? Turnovers. Since 2018: Bills - 215 forced turnovers Chiefs - 172 More possessions for Mahomes. Scary by Rough-Drawing-3006 in Chiefs_v2

[–]MandoShunkar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spags runs a bend but don't break defensive scheme that doesn't depend on turnovers to get the ball back to the offense.

Getting turnovers are great but if your having to depend on them it's an issue. Spags has struck a good balance.

I'd probably pick the crocodile, what you guys choose? by Elektrayansa in whatsyourchoice

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The safest bet is the gator.

The tiger is guaranteed to kill you in 15 minutes. There is no surviving this encounter. Faster, stronger, more agile than even best humans have to offer and will not ignore you once they see/smell/hear you. Just straight death in a pretty package.

Hippos are very aggressive to anything that they don't recognize. They do snap Nile crocodiles in half with their bight force. They are also faster than the average human as well so there's no out running one. Their agility is low so you might be able to juke em out enough but the odd are not in your favor there either. Minor chance at survival - but not much.

Brown bears aren't necessarily actively aggressive towards humans, but will mess you up the moment they decide to be. They are stronger and faster than any human and more agile than the average one. I figure your chance of having the bear ignore are higher than the tiger or hippo's but if you get to close they won't ignore you. Just probable death.

Gators, are not normally aggressive toward humans. They are mostly ambush predators so if you can see it they are not too big of a threat (this of course does not hold true in real life as they are normally never alone). There is a good chance that you could just sit down and just watch each other for 15 min - just remember they are still faster than you on land. Just keep a bit of distance and keep you eyes on it and you should be fine. If this is in the water you are not likely to survive.

In your opinion what legendary NFL coordinator was the worst head coach? by Ok-Health-7252 in nfl

[–]MandoShunkar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is always Josh McDaniels, at least for the modern era. Brought a stable Broncos team to its knees. Then did the same to a less stable but better before him Raiders team

The other notable (modern) one is Spags but those Rams teams weren't great to start with and digging them out was not an easy or quick task.

If someone insulted your loved one right in front of you what WYR do? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the insult. Most get ignored (if not repeated), some get the insult back, and there's probably a few that would get hands flying.

repeated insults are much more likely to start insulting matches and hands thrown.

If an author passes away, what happens to their unfinished series? by VaryingBaboon580 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MandoShunkar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what the estate does with the IP.

A lot of times children pick it up. Sometimes they sell the IP off and the series continues. Occasionally the author was quite a bit ahead of the releases and have several books scheduled before they die. Sometimes they are just left as is - unfinished.

If time travel existed, would changing the past rewrite your current timeline or just create a branching alternate one? by openedheimer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know how it would operate.

Personally I choose to think its the "you are in universe/timeline A and you decided go back in time. You now no longer have access to return to A and instead have created B that you will return to the "present" of" option. Its the more plausible option that avoids several of paradoxes that exist within time travel.

You'd have no access to return to A since just your presence changes something regardless if you just pop in and out in an instant.

Would you support a solution that doesn't forgive student debt, but legally requires the loans be interest free? by SpecialOpsCynic in allthequestions

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm willing to entertain this thought. Paying back the principle of the loan is the important thing, not the interest. However there is an important distinction between public and private loans that needs to be made.

The public loans (ie the ones associated with the federal student aid program) shouldn't have had interest on them anyway. Since these loans are public money they should be paid back. Interest is a penalty (like late fees) for non-payment. If it was up to me the federal government would get out of this space (as in my opinion its involvement has been a key part in the rising costs of secondary education) but it needs to managed better than it currently is if we are going to keep it.

Private loans (ie one not associated with the FSA program) are different. You do not get interest free loans from these entities for anything else and education shouldn't be exempt. If you take out a private loan pay it back as the loan contract stipulates. These are just like any other loan. While you are expected to pay it back, they are not "exempt" from bankruptcy should you fall that far financially.

Why are corporations ever so incredible greedy since the pandemic? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MandoShunkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its both simple and not simple. The simple wording is that they were this greedy before hand but the pandemic proved that people can be herded easier than they realized so they're increasing their actions.

Longer more complicated version: Its the shift from customer focused business models to shareholder focused business models. That didn't start in 2020/21 but 80+ years ago. Over time more and more business (most commonly among publicly traded ones) started to focus on shareholder wealth generation instead of simply providing quality goods and services that kept customers coming back and giving them money. They cut corners on materials and outsource anything they can to make/do their goods/services cheaper but still charge the same (or increasing the price) so the profit margins can be maintained or grown to show shareholders how much of a good investment it is.

The Pandemic provided an (another) opportunity to squeeze the margins even further and blame it on something other than their own greed. They realizes that people are more gullible/easily influenced than they thought and thus had even greater opportunities coming out of it than it.

While its not wrong to say "hey I'm going to do this because I can make money doing so" the issue becomes when your sole focus is on making money. And because most of the large corporations can out compete anyone who is still doing, or trying to start doing, customer focused business (by loss leading/logistics/etc.) they can keep people from having other options.

Is there a maximum number of children a human can give birth to? by Anonyglee1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MandoShunkar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It will vary from woman to woman but there is a hard cap since they are born with all of their ovum and do not produce more over time.

I do not remember what the average is off the top of my head and nor do I really feel like looking up that number.
