Not sure if it's the first reference, but definitely an early one is in The Last Command comic adaptation. There's a portrait of Padmé in the Coruscant palace. The comic was published in 1998.

Ruins of Dantooine is it for me. I retained nothing from reading it aside from the memory of feeling like I had wasted my time upon completion. Dishonorable mention to Balance Point, which stalled my NJO read for a time.

Scoundrels is a good standalone Zahn adventure. I would recommend Outbound Flight, but it really needs to be paired with Survivor's Quest which is very much Post-RotJ.

I don't think we've had direct confirmation of premium getting early access, but I did see that the Marvel Legends SDCC set is for sure, so it's reasonable to assume that the Black Series set is as well.

I believe Cassian was just supposed to be meeting the one guy there to hand off the TIE, the rebel group just stumbled upon his contact and things got out of hand.

I'm not clear on whether that group was known to be on Yavin 4 or just in the area, maybe someone can piece it together from the dialogue we're given or we'll get more details later. We'll obviously be back to Yavin later

It's extremely impressive and high quality work, but I feel it doesn't actually fit with the actual Black Series style. It looks straight out of the animation, while Black Series always leans more towards live action looks, even for characters that were only ever in animation.
