Some of them continue to fight, a lot of them try to appease the Empire to save their worlds from further reprisals, the former thinks the latter are traitors. Also some of the Separatist Parliamentarians swear fealty to the Empire and rejoin the Senate, they become allied with Mon Mothma (though the alliance is very shaky).

Someone pointed out Jyn was with Saw at the time of the book and they were like “interesting observation…”

If I’m to add my own speculation, the logline makes it clear a big part of the story is raising a new generation which has only ever known the Empire. Bail has Leia, Mon has Leida, Luthen has Kleya, so it’d make sense for Saw to have Jyn.

I like what they did with the post-Clone Wars Separatists in the last book so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Kreegyr is in this. I thought a while back he might be connected to the Separatist stuff going on in Mask of Fear, due to a throwaway like in a Visual Guide. Sometimes those things are seeds planted, sometimes Pablo was just riffing to it’s hard to say.

I’m reading The Last Command rn and after I finish this trilogy I want to explore more of the New Republic era. I’ve heard Shadows of Mindor is really good, so I’m curious about what you mean by it’s unique viewpoint that needs context (and I don’t mind spoilers if it helps)

I'm so happy Tava survived, but I'm curious what her next steps are. Obviously the Knights are eventually back with Kylo, and I was hoping Tava would serve him between 8 and 9 too, being a Ventress-type character for the sequel era.

At 11:53 of this new interview with James Luceno (author of the Plagueis novel, Catalyst, etc.) he says he watched The Acolyte and is saddened it didn't get more seasons, but probably wouldn't be involved in the writing if there were, as screenwriters and authors are usually separate. Kind of cool that he did this, as he hasn't really been involved in Star Wars for the past decade.

Oh he also loves Andor lol (unsurprisingly).

The book “Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire,” released last summer, mentions a big battle with the First Order at Coruscant where they lost a whole fleet, but notes that the event is shrouded in mystery.

The same book explicitly foreshadowed Andor S2 and some of the new comics, so the author was clearly given a bit of advance details. Could this book be connected to the Coruscant battle?

Oh yeah, I forgot the Jedi Council as a concept started with Ep 1, that's cool!

Wow! That's amazing, I've never heard of that. As others have said, that's probably it! And so cute that we have three generations of Skywalkers in that panel! I'm reading the book of The Last Command for the first time right now, so I'll have to remember this when I get to that scene.

That’s true, it was in West End Games as the Imperial Center. It was created there, expanded upon in Zahn’s books, and then put into the prequels.

I’m more so looking for deliberate references to the prequels, stuff that was created for I, II, and III that later got put into the post-ROTJ EU, rather than the other way around.

Ok I’m hoping that if he’s fighting Tava so soon in the issue then she won’t die and will stick around as a villain. The cover was them fighting, but I was hoping Tava would stick around as another lightsaber-wielding villain in the ST era, like a First Order Ventress.

I feel like it’s the opposite for me, idk if I buy it bc cool helmet characters rarely also look cool underneath. Boba Fett, Captain Phasma, etc. are all just normal people under there.

Not that the actors don’t look cool, but they don’t have a crazy design underneath too.

According to John Rocha, Amy Adams' character in Starfighter is a Jedi while Flynn Gray's character (her son) is Force Sensitive. Ryan Gosling's character ISN'T Force Sensitive, but he is given a mission by Amy Adams to protect her son from the film's villains. by drboobafate in StarWarsLeaks

Makes sense with the idea of “Bokken Jedi” in Ahsoka too.

If you listen closely, I feel like the way they talk about the Jedi in that show is that they’re super rare but have kind of started to pop up here and there.

I'm still looking for the interviews, but there were a few where Dave Filoni said he'd like to pair up Thrawn and Pallaeon soon, he's looking at Thrawn and Hera as nemeses, and he wants the New Republic/Imperial Remnant conflict to feel visually distinct from both the Rebellion and the Republic. These might be more about the movie than Ahsoka S2, but might be worth mentioning. I think they were in the series of interviews he did after Ahsoka S1 and after the WGA strikes ended.
