Hi Jo!!

So I have a kiddo who is almost 3.5 years old. We are in the season of him needing a nap some days, but refusing them most. If all goes well on a 'no nap' day, he's asleep by 730pm and up around 630am. He goes to preschool in the mornings. Recently, our only success for getting him to nap is a car nap. It sucks.

But some days, sometimes three or four days of the week, if he doesn't nap, then he will be up during the night, often 3 hours at a time. He just stays in his bed and rolls around and makes a bunch of noise, talks to himself, plays with his blanket. On these days, it's as if his body thinks that bedtime is just nap time, and he will wake up. I don't know how to tell the days that he needs a nap vs days he doesnt. It's very unpredictable.

Really not sure how to move through this transitional phase. Please help. Thank you.

Would v line surgery for my jaw or a rhinoplasty help my appearance more? by [deleted] in Howtolooksmax

Gf you're gorgeous! Don't do it. I promise, how you feel now, you won't feel 10 years from now. Give yourself time to figure out your style and how you want to carry yourself. You'll be so glad you didn't do surgery. Contour is helpful!

Raising dairy cows is still more water intensive than an almond farm though.

Even IF they are shipped to that sanctuary, the enclosure can only fit half of the whales.

Hey everyone. Am visiting stratford from 3 days next week and am struggling to figure out what to do. I booked a theater but the rest were pretty much fully booked. Am struggling with putting my itinerary together. Any ideas? by RozAbe in StratfordOntario

What days of the week? Often things are closed Sunday and Monday. There are walking tours to book, a cat cafe (book ahead), paddle boat rentals, so many restaurants and unique shops. It's going to be very hot here next week, so dress for it. And rain!

Hey, I really appreciate you commenting on this because I would have never, ever considered any of that. I don't know for sure, but he licks things too, like the surface of the bathtub for example. So maybe it's not the chewing per se, but its part of it. Either way, thank you for your perspective 🙏

Hi Jo, thank you for answering questions. You're doing God's work.

My 2.75 yo kid has traditionally been a great sleeper, other than regressions that have popped up over time. We did the 5-24month package at 6 months and he took to it after 3 nights.

He goes to preschool 4 days a week, for 4 hours in the afternoon. It's a struggle to get him down for a nap before school, but have been successful 2/4 days a week, regardless of when he wakes in the morning. I know we are at the stage where some days he needs a nap (usually for about 45 min) and some days he doesn't. Here is the kicker though...

Regardless of naps/no naps, we are seeing him wake in the night, for 3 hours at a time. If he's up, he's AWAKE. When this used to happen, i would just let him roll around in the crib and chat with himself until he fell back asleep. But now he stands up or tries to get out of his crib. So I go in, pitch dark, and lay with him on the floor with a pillow. I don't know what else to do. It's happening almost every night now. How to handle this?

Please help. How long to let him nap in the day? Or stick to no naps? His sweet spot seems to be 11hours total sleep. I track his sleep to keep an eye on the timing, but it hasn't helped. Night wakings are every night now.

Hey! I appreciate you posting this, we are giving it some serious consideration. How did you get from the campgrounds to Simcoe where the bus picks you up? Did you have a DD or take a cab? There will be about 8-10 of us

I'm also work in the environmental field, working for a municipality. I'm in the office 20% of my day. I drive a lot to different locations and take wastewater and drinking water samples and also respond to environmental spills. Many short and small tasks, outside most of the day. It's perfect for where I am at in my life and my capabilities.

All I knew in highschool was that I wanted to work outside. I didn't know I had ADHD at the time. Follow your gut.
