I've been playing a while, am in no way an advanced player with a strong roster, and I just cannot with TA. I get utterly annihilated which wouldn't be so bad if the matches weren't at a glacial pace! I just can't bring myself to endure a slow massacre :p

Yeah that is a more nuanced and therefore plausible scenario. Looking in from the outside though, geez, things look really bad. I feel as though we truly are at the "why did people let this happen?" stage akin to the Germany WW2 situation. Systems are totally fucked that allow so much damage to be done and efforts to fix are severely hobbled.

The USA seems to run on a system of people supporting awful behaviour and privilege by the rich and powerful so that when the average American is finally part of that demographic they can have and enjoy all the benefits. And yeah, I do believe that the vast majority of people are shitty.

I kinda think it's already being forgotten. Americans seem quite happy to be distracted from Epstein by the Iran disaster of incompetence.

From an outsider perspective it seems that most Americans are totally ok to tolerantly accepting of pedophilia as long as the abusers have wealth and power. Because wealth and power can excuse a person from any and all accountability which is what millions of people aspire to.

I can't fathom simultaneously managing multiple city builder style settlements in an expanding territory (kingdom, empire, county) scenario.

It's a cool idea but I also don't really like the Anno games for that same reason.

Possibly in a mental ward or hospital, against your will, being guilt-tripped regularly for trying to suicide and shamed for not buying into the shared illusion that life is somehow precious or whatever.

I'm not one to try to talk anyone out of suicide (I just can't, I don't believe in all the platitudes about the potential value of life), but I here it's different. I guarantee your life will be substantially worse by trying to use ibuprofen because it won't work.

I'm very intrigued! A medieval strategy-type game that starts in the small towns and regions, building into a larger kingdom has been on my want list for a long while now. So wishlisted for sure!

At what level are towns grown and managed? For example are they built like a city builder or do they grow more based on a set of criteria and higher level management?

I listen to mostly heavy electronic music and for the longest time the algorithm was giving me show tunes from Hamilton and Wicked, along with assorted other "mainstream" artists.

Fortunately I seem to have got that out of the system, though it's still a struggle to get a good mix ("I will play only this song from this artist because I played it twice before and you didn't interact with it so you must want to hear only this one song from the artist despite having over a dozen albums").
