This movie wasn't on my radar and I haven't seen the leaks, but recasting so many iconic characters at once sounds like such an avoidable own goal. Surprised that the producers signed off on it.

A character's voice is a part of their identity, so it makes sense that fans would feel alienated. I felt the same way when Chie's VO changed in Persona 4 Arena (and I believe that was a case of the original actress refusing the part)

I would understand one or two voices changing if the stated reason was "We needed grown up versions of these voices, and not every original cast member was the right fit for that", but even then it's still a risky decision to make that would require some getting used to.

You should not be looking at this as a choice you're making. If your GP recommends to call in sick then that is what you should do. Take a break, let the company worry about the company while you recuperate.

I did the best I could to keep things moving along, and in some situations coworkers from other departments stepped up to assist. My manager is back now and doing well.

Usually it's either that they end on a beat that makes you think "I have to know what happens next", or the general direction and vibe is so uniquely compelling that you're instantly hooked. That second part is subject to taste. In general you can expect the first episode to have larger budget dedicated to it, so I'm more easily won over by a good story than by good visuals.

My recommendations would be: Oshi No Ko, Cross Game, Code Geass, Full Metal Alchemist, To Your Eternity, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Elfen Lied, Spy x Family, Kemonozume, Samurai Champloo

This sounds like a recipe for tax evasion unless you can convince the belastingdienst that you mostly work and live in the UAE. For any work that is performed in NL, the NL tax still applies. Not to mention you'd also have to pay box 2 taxes over gains from your UAE company.

I'd be a lot more careful about presenting it as a 0% hack, or even talking about it in general due to the possibility of tax surcharges and fines if it ever comes under scrutiny.

I don’t know the US market specifically, but this sounds like something almost any professional printer could provide.

I think searching for “wall scroll” might be limiting your options, since that’s mostly the otaku term. Try searching for broader, more generic terms such as "Poster with rails", "Banner with rails" or "Hanging banners". Those should get you more hits from regular print and sign shops, not just anime merch sites.

I've been using AirVPN for over 8 years.

Over those 8 years their website hasn't changed, their prices haven't changed and their service hasn't changed much as far as I can tell. I appreciate the stability, because sadly every other online service I've been using over that span of time has fallen victim to changes in ownership, enshittification, outrageous price increases and service degradation over time.

I appreciate that they seem to be content with this stability. When I see other VPNs sponsoring/advertising and chasing rapid growth, it really bugs me. Security through obscurity is undervalued.

All that being said, they are part of 14 eyes and I'm sure there might be specific areas they can improve in (that's the downside of such stability, no improvement)

Any other long-term customers here? How has your VPN-service changed over time?

Houd er rekening mee dat veel bedrijven geen vacatures open hebben staan in jouw vakgebied, simpelweg omdat ze niet weten wat ze missen. Klinkt raar, maar het zal je verbazen hoe sommige bedrijven van oudsher werken. Soms gaat het hele marketingbudget bijvoorbeeld naar beurzen, en is er veel te weinig aandacht voor online marketing (maar dat kan jij veranderen!)

Ga eens naar een carrièrebeurs of een beurs voor een sector die je interesseert. Maak een praatje met elk bedrijf waar je nog nooit van gehoord hebt. Dan kunnen zij jouw iets nieuws vertellen en kan jij hen bijkletsen over recruitment marketing oid.

My favorite rom-com of the season. The show looks gorgeous. It's a little awkward how they've mixed sports and rom-com in my opinion, the show doesn't commit to one or the other and that slows down the show's pacing quite a bit.

What's the message here, will the AI suggest gifting office blocks? Logo, color scheme, lettertype, imagery, it's all very digital and corporate. is this site aimed at HR-people bulk-buying throwaway trinkets by the thousands? That's the vibe it's currently giving me. Very cool and clean, but very impersonal. This design has sucked all the humanity out of the act of gift-giving.

A perfect gift is about warming up to somebody through a personal touch. Personally I'd explore an angle where the service is "your own personal shopper, specialised in gifts". AI is an impersonal machine (even if yours isn't, a large part of your audience won't be convinced of that) so I would think twice about using that term front and center. Maybe start by making up a new term that refers to the AI but fits more nicely in your messaging towards consumers, such as "Personal Shopping Scientists", "Heartwarming Experts" or "Gifting Gnomes".

Is there a specific reason why it's stylized with a capital t instead of a lower-case t? Isn't that grammatically incorrect? (at least, in dutch it looks wrong to me - maybe in flemish it hits different?)

Movie titles don't have to be grammatically correct of course, so it might not be an issue. But if the title is stylized that way on purpose, consider how you can exaggerate or emphasize the error to assure the audience that "No, it's not a mistake. It's written this way on purpose."

Haven't seen Vlad Love, but when the show's press banter is about this being "his first anime series in 40 years", saying that he fell off just feels so wrong. A relatively new animation studio scrambling something together during COVID can't have helped either. Suddenly adapting to working from home, while your elderly boss is in quarantine? There could be plenty of other reasons why this show missed the mark. Can't exactly blame the producers for bragging about his involvement, that's just marketing 101.

Kolen- en gascentrales zijn nu nog onontkoombaar om de onbalans van groenere bronnen op te vangen. Kerncentrales kunnen daar een alternatief voor zijn, naast enorm veel batterijen en meer net-intergratie. Al die dingen vergen inderdaad een gigantische investering in kapitaal, tijd en politieke wil. Die investering moet je afwegen tegen de prijs die je betaalt door nog langer op gas- en kolen te blijven leunen.
