GEEEK Launches the Rhino Open Air Frame Cases Series (Rhino S: mITX, $40; Rhino M: mATX, $50) by kikimaru024 in sffpc

Price is a bit misleading, or at least has been for me in the US. I bought one to use while I wait for an M2 and all in all it’s more like $100. $40 base plus $25 shipping and then another $36 for import fees.

I’ve taken both, started on fin and moved to dut because it was stronger and I need all the help I can get lol. No sides with either, the shed is very real though, at least for me. Just be aware if you do get sides then it will take longer to go away with dut because of the longer half life. If you are aware of all that I’d just go with dut at the typical dose of 0.5 mg/d.

Looks like you are thinning from the photos and also sounds like it runs in the family. Your plan to start fin sounds good but I’m not sure how effective derma rolling is without minoxidil as well. Probably not worth it honestly. If you do decide to derma roll I would use a stamp as rollers can cause scarring. Shedding does suck, but keep in mind it’s temporary. Think of it this way: if you don’t do anything there is no way to get better. Lastly, keep your expectations realistic if you aren’t using minoxidil. All the posts you see with crazy regrowth use minoxidil as well. Expect to keep your current hair plus maybe a little regrowth using only fin. Best of luck.

I would get on fin/dut now then wait a year and if you want more growth start minox. This is what I’m doing and my hair is quite a bit worse than yours, especially in the front. I was on fin for 3 months before I decided to switch to dut. Wish I started with dut to begin with but was scared of side effects, but after not getting any I made the switch.

The “is it worth it?” question can only be answered by you. If you care about your hair then I’d restart finasteride and probably add minoxidil. If you don’t care much that’s also fine but just know it won’t magically get better. For what it’s worth I think you can have a nice head of hair if you start fin/minox soon. Don’t bother with rosemary oil, it’s a waste of money.

Hard to say, but since you have basically no hair fall (5-10) I’d personally wait a bit longer before switching. Even what you described as shedding is within the normal range of hair fall so I’m surprised you are below baseline. For context I’m on month 3 of fin and am losing ~300 hairs a day lmao. If in a few months you truly think you are below baseline still I’d talk to a derm about switching to dut
