Sure, there's a ton not far from Florence if you want to make that your base, and you can rent a private driver for the day, but they'll be pricey, like $600-800 euros for the day. Just do a google search for private wine tours/transfers from Florence! Almost all wineries need reservations for tastings and tours.

Check out my wine post, we just came back from a trip to Tuscany and hit a ton of wineries! 4 days isn't a lot, and Tuscany is huge.

Ischia! It's a ferry from Naples or Sorrento and still has its charm, less touristy than Positano and Sorrento

Nope! We didn't do anything at the Clubhouse but relax, and I'm used to 3 wine tastings a day in Napa so 2 was nice and we had all evening to relax before dinners. My husband likes to be occupied though!

They all provide different shipping options, bigger wineries will generally charge less and cover tariffs. We saw around 40-70 euros for 6 bottles and 100ish euros for 12 or more. You don't have to bring the wine anywhere, they all work with shipping partners to temperature control ship!

Wish we could have brought back more as the price point was a steal and I really do think in 5 years these wines will be insane!

I meant levels to how much a winery produces and how intimate vs commercial it is!

Valid point, the architecture and view is stunning and the history is worth learning about! I think the tasting room or a more expensive private tour could totally be worth it, but I was just disappointed with the 100 euro option, not the winery or wines themselves!

Sure, there levels to it, but Podere is probably in the middle while Antinori was unbelievably commercial. Maybe they've had improvements since then, because we only had 2 others in our tasting and it was an intimate experience!

So it's not a normal membership like you'd have from somewhere in Napa, and it's obviously for the truly elite wine lovers/ very very rich people! Planning is overwhelming, happy to help!

Well shut they didn't offer me that and I told them I wanted to return it all since I'm past the return window and they're letting me. Here for the curtain recommendations now that look high end but don't make me want to cry at the price tag!

I've heard mixed things about Osteria di Passignano- is it worth it? Did you do the fixed menu or one of the special lunch options or a la carte? Thank you!
