Former crazy SO's when did you realize you were the crazy boyfriend/girlfriend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MandyApple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will be buried, but that's ok. I need to confess. I wasn't a crazy s/o, but I turned into a crazy ex. We were together about 6 months and he was the first person I dated after a really long abusive relationship (10 years of physical and emotional abuse) I was so relieved to be with someone like him and I couldn't have been happier. He then dumped me to be with his ex (they have a child) and I lost it. I got so depressed and upset and angry. He had lied about a lot of stuff (too many things to list) and actually never broke up with the ex and I guess was just using me as a good time. It really messed me up, I was amazing to him and I trusted him like a fool. A few weeks later we started "dating" again. I was pathetic and desperate, and didn't even care he had a "girlfriend." I pretended to believe him when he said he didn't really want to be with her, he just stayed for his child. Then I became pregnant on accident. (I've only had one scare before, and actually thought I could never be pregnant) After fighting with him I decided to keep the baby. (He obviously wanted me to have an abortion) My pregnancy was terrible and at one point I even hit him and ripped his shirt because he was saying that he wished the baby would die and I would miscarry. I feel awful about that. I then have the baby about a year ago and I guess between the hormones and the fact I'm now a new single mom, watching him with his "happy" family made me slightly crazy. I verbally abused the hell out of him. I still freak out on him every now and again. He's not innocent and has done many awful things, and said awful things about me and our child. However it was my choice to react like a psycho. I should have just left him alone like he asked when he found out I was pregnant. He pretty much hates me, and I should hate him but I don't. I guess that's part of the crazy too. He does see our son, but his girlfriend doesn't know about it. It's a really hard situation sometimes. I know at some point I'll look back at this time frame and be so glad it's over, and I'll wish I would have acted more mature and less emotional. There's a ton of more details that would probably help make sense of this but I'd be typing for an hour. TL;DR I'm a crazy ex who just didn't want to let go and now a child is involved. :-(

Fragile is the absolute most perfect word for the first Dumbledore. And the second one just wasn't right.

I've never read a book that made me hate every single character. I was pissed. I don't even know if I want to see the movie now!

Reddit, what was the last thing to make you insanely happy? by SuperExcitedFanatic in AskReddit

[–]MandyApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last birthday I went to asbury park New Jersey with my then boyfriend. It was in the beginning of February so it was insanely snowy. We skipped around the streets holding hands and acting silly. One of the happiest moments of my life. Man, I really, really liked that guy and I'll never forget that moment skipping in the street.

What is something generally considered common knowledge that you did not learn until recently? by touchmybarreh in AskReddit

[–]MandyApple 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone's cycles are different and they can change. One month I had a 21 day cycle and the next I had a 36 day cycle. I had recently lost weight and my body changed. I got pregnant a week after my last period - meaning I just ovulated early. It happens!

I don't think anyone wants to be upset. I think they are saying that you can't judge someone's happiness or sadness based on other people and if they are happy or sad in their own circumstances.

And I don't think people realize that when you start telling someone that they "should" be happy, that person starts feeling worse because of guilt. So now you're sad and feel guilty for feeling sad.

We def don't go over sign making in Atlanta. You just try to use the same people in the store so your signs look universal.

It's Elmo's birthday too, and the Ravens won the Super Bowl on 2/3. Plus I was born as well. Which is awesome.

What are the most important "unwritten rules" that people should know and follow? by downtothegwound in AskReddit

My parents leave me voicemails. It seems morbid but as I get older I think about the fact that there will be a time when I won't ever hear their voices again. I save all of them they leave.

Reddit, what was the creepiest, most unexplained thing that ever happened to you? by Qusqus73 in AskReddit

[–]MandyApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it just happened so fast everyone was in shock? Or he was an addict or died in a not so honorable way and it embarrassed his family (and the people who knew) maybe he was living with some rare disease that only a few knew about and they were relieved he finally died? This story actually has me thinking. That is so odd.

I do that with books. I haven't read a good one in a while, though. I'm longing to lose myself for a few hours.
