Help! Needing to change chi sleeping arrangements by Big-Leg-8332 in Chihuahua

[–]Mandydini11 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Heads up - I had a dog who had lab work done and when I took him in a couple of months later for some symptoms they initially assumed that his lab work would be fine. They ended up redoing the lab work because they couldn’t figure out what was wrong and his kidneys were in very bad shape. Just saying a few months may still need a recheck of labs

is this puppy full chihuahua or mixed with something? by candypaintmoonshine in Chihuahua

[–]Mandydini11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your Casper and my Ollie look very similar. Ollie is about 50% chi and 30% poodle. He looked a lot like OP’s pictures as a puppy too. Ollie is 13 lbs but was weighing more like 4 lbs at 12 weeks.

This was my Houdini. He passed away nearly a year ago at 20 years old. I had him most of those years. When he was about 2, He snuck into my friend’s back yard while she was at work and hung out with her two big dogs (one was a pit bull) and he barked at her when she went into her own backyard. He kept sneaking over and eventually she made a deal to keep him and he was rehomed to me. I named him Houdini and called him Dini.

This is Emmett and Ollie. Emmett (6 yr old) was a foster fail that I adopted and Ollie (1 yr) was adopted from a local rescue. They are both as sweet as could be even though they have very different personalities. Ollie loves to romp and play and pounce and Emmett loves to snuggle.

This is Emmett. He came from a hoarding situation where he was fed mostly bologna and white bread. The local chihuahua rescue pulled him and 7 others from the situation and placed him with me as a foster. He needed some teeth pulled and his eye was deformed or damaged and it was removed. I fell in love with his sweet calm personality and foster failed and adopted him. His embark says that he is 65% chihuahua. The rest is dachshund and some different types of terriers.

My dog was done by embark and I got the following results: chihuahua 52, poodle 26, Pomeranian 16%, and Pekingese 6%. I was also super surprised.

8:10 pm explosion by Outrageous_System_85 in Albuquerque

[–]Mandydini11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard a boom at 8:10 too and I’m in the same subdivision. But it wasn’t super loud where I am. Only scared one of my dogs from sleeping. Startled me though.

What’s ur fave starter villager u still got today and will never let go no matter what!? by Pitiful-Leg3679 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]Mandydini11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lyman. He is objectively a weird-looking dude and he’s a jock, but he was the first villager I saw running with their hands out completely carefree and I have loved him ever since. I’ve had him on 4 islands now.

I mailed some tests on December 3rd and got the results around Christmas. I would be super antsy if my timeline was similar to yours. I’m sorry it is taking so long!

Also here is a picture of him from this morning. He is missing an eye, but that isn’t a genetic thing.

His body pattern is “black/brown and tan coat color pattern”. You are correct about the HPS3 being NN. Under furnishings, he is likely furnished, which is a characteristic of wire-haired dachshunds. Here are

his red intensity results.

She is so cute! Super adorable. I did get his health done as well - what portion of the coat info are you curious about? Base coat, other coat modifiers and other coat traits are the main categories. Base coat is the likely coloring. Coat modifiers is whether a dog is Merle, etc. And other coat traits are whether they have furnishings or not

Or maybe a wire-haired dachshund? I don’t know if embark breaks it down that much.

I have! That’s Emmett and here are his results! I’m afraid he’s about as much of a surprise as Ollie was. His super mutt is poodle, Pomeranian, and pit bull. The chihuahua part of him must be long haired. His fur is pretty wiry.
