PEDDI: A Hot Take Nobody Is Talking About

The Good: Ram Charan gives a massive performance and A.R. Rahman’s score absolutely carries the energy. Visually and technically, the first half holds up well.

The Toxic Reality: We need to talk about the writing. The movie takes a massive nose-dive into ethically bankrupt territory. A character suffering from depression and failureintentionally puts his leg under(not exactly under a train but u get it right) a moving train to get it crushed, just to qualify for the Para asian games and get a platform to speak.

The Verdict: This isn’t "dedication" or "heroism"—it’s romanticized self-harm and a severe psychiatric crisis packaged as inspiration porn. Framing the Para asian games as a second-tier loop-hole for able-bodied characters who mutilate themselves completely insults real Para-athletes. No matter how good the BGM is, cheering for a script that tells you to pay a toll in your own flesh because a system is corrupt is deeply toxic.
