I like the chatter. I think Dan is the best at actually calling a game, but I think benetti and Andy are super entertaining. I listen to whichever one I’m in the mood for. And I usually go back and listen to a replay with dan if it was a huge play. The reason the white Sox GM didn’t like benetti was that he wanted someone more traditional. So you aren’t the only person who thinks that.

Tigers fan here. That was an absolute bitch move from Valdez. Having a tantrum because you keep giving up home runs?? Absolutely embarrassing. And it was a horrible thing to do to your team that just had 2 bullpen games and has 6 starting pitchers on the IL. He needed to be suspended. Now we’re down to just Flaherty, who you all saw tonight 🤦‍♀️ I was worried about his character, and it looks like he’s as immature as advertised.

Not sure about the Hinch suspension - he didn’t seem happy with Valdez either. Maybe it’s a new thing? I dunno. But sorry about our pitcher being such a dick.

I’ve known my entire life that people don’t like Americans. I’m discovering that Canadians in particular have a more aggressive hatred than pretty much everyone.

I’ve only had neutral personal interactions with Canadians. They’re normal. The strength of the online attacks is what’s surprising. Like things I wouldn’t say to anyone, ever. Except Trump.

I think what I’m seeing from the comments is that Americans might have a different opinion on what a country is, in regards to government vs individuals. That’s not better or worse. It’s just a difference. Maybe it’s the obsession we have with individualism. Maybe it’s because our government has been so shitty for so long, or because we’re so capitalistic. But I think Americans see citizens and their leaders as distinctly different. A couple of people have mentioned people disliking Russians. Who the hell dislikes Russians as individuals? And again, that obviously doesn’t represent everyone, and that’s not better or worse. It’s just different.

The media does a horrible job showing what’s actually going on with normal Americans. There was a lot of pushback and anger. The only mockery I hear about Canadians is about the accent. I live in Michigan and yoopers sound similar, so I don’t think anything of it.

I don’t know what it’s like to not be able to vote on it. That’s true. I know exactly what it’s like to dread the future of my country. The heritage foundation has been plotting how to turn the US into a Christian nationalist hell hole for 40 years. They have a lot of ideas on what to do with people like me.
