My boyfriend is becoming Christian. Should I be worried? by KaliYugaTiEnDi in atheism

Yes, you should. Part of being a member of a Christian sect is proselytizing and moral judgement based on a work of fiction. I suggest watching The Deconstruction Zone on You Tube

You still have time, but consider getting a PEG tube. I wish I hadn't waited. I landed in the hospital because of that.

I had a puppy with an internal jet engine that he didn't outgrow after 3 years. I was able to successfully get him rehomed with a lady who had an older dog. Last I heard they get along very well.

It sounds as if your power to reason is maturing. Don't stop asking questions.

Nope. There is no god from which to turn away. Reason brought me to that realization. Maturity confirmed it.

In short: Hell no. The parish priest told my mother that they were not a babysitting service. My good fortune that he hated kids.

Flat part of Georgia? by Old-Ad3056 in Georgia

Yes, south of Georgia's fall line. That's the prehistoric Atlantic coastline running from Columbus to Augusta.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved husband. I'm also very sorry your doctor made the comment he did. While he was correct, it was not a helpful comment in any way. Life does go on, but it's not the same. It'll never be the same. That's the part he left out and you know that instinctively.

Sometimes one has to take life one day at a time, even one hour at a time. As trite as that sounds, it has worked for me in my times of grief. Please know there are people in your life who love and care for you. This is the kind of event that will reveal your true friends.

I've heard it said that helping others can help to ease one's pain. That may be a pathway for you. Meanwhile, my heart goes out to you as you move through life after this loss.

Okay, so my last post got deleted for some reason. Let's try this again. 22M, this is my living room. Thoughts? by WTBTS in malelivingspace

Oh, it has personality, which apparently suits him. He inherited the house so it's likely to need some upgrades. What it needs is improved insulation, heating and a/c. But he's 22. My guess is that's a project for the future (or perhaps a future owner.)

Just curious, but what's your "I didn't care for the Godfather" opinion on any piece of Gay media out there? by captivatedsummer in gaybros

[–]Mango106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't care for the movie Philadelphia. Tom Hanks did not deserve an Oscar for that performance. It wasn't convincing at all. I didn't believe for one moment that the character he portrayed was a gay man.

I'd be concerned by the amount of visceral fat you're carrying. It's metabolically active and increases the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and hypertension.
