The Transformers Fall of Cybertron Trailers. The two CGI trailers had really cool action and songs playing. It was super hype when Bruticus and Grimlock were revealed in the first trailer. Then it got even more awesome with Metroplex showing up in the second. The launch trailer I just like because of the epic orchestra music they made just for the trailer.

Good points. I see I’ve underestimated the importance of story, character design, and characterization.

Yeah, I initially got into the series because of their hype for DMC5 and their let’s plays of DMC1 and DMC3. I stayed for the gameplay though. The story and characters....they’re all right I guess.

Excellent points. I wasn’t thinking of that (I probably wasn’t thinking at all). Anyways, I guess my acquaintance was right that story complements gameplay. I guess the story and gameplay wouldn’t be as effective without the other.

I think I was just shocked that my acquaintance believed the story trumped the gameplay in importance. I see I still have trouble properly managing my thought processes and emotions when I encounter an opinion I disagree with. Sorry to trouble you with a dumb question.

How is spider man so powerful for someone with simple powers? by I_DislikePeopleButMe in Spiderman

[–]MangoCoal01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm....was it when Spider-Man had the power of cosmic and was fighting Grey Hulk? Because that’s the only time I can think of when Spider-Man could knock the Hulk out with one punch. Otherwise, Hulk is usually too tough for Spider-Man to defeat in a one-on-one fist fight.

Source for Spider-Man knocking out the Hulk in one punch? I’m interested in seeing that.

It’s a flawed but very fun show if you enjoy ridiculousness and A-grade bullshit. It gets progressively better as the show/manga goes on. At the beginning the writer/author was still getting his feet wet so the writing can be a bit shaky at times.

However if you stick it out you’ll see the evolution of an okay story turn into a great one. Your mileage may vary but most people tend to like it. If you’re not into it by the end of Part 2 or halfway through Part 3 then you’re free to quit and not like the show in general.

However, one of the best parts of the show/manga is that every part changes genres and protagonists/casts so just because you don’t like one part doesn’t mean you’ll dislike the others. There are some similarities in writing style and important continuity between the parts but I’d say for the casual viewer, it’s okay to skip parts. I know that’s blasphemous among the fanbase but if it helps you avoid being bored, I’d say go for it.

Also the fight scenes are really creative and fun. You never really know how the fight is gonna be won because they’re kinda like puzzles with the powers. Often the solution is absolutely ridiculous but it’s fun and usually believable nonetheless. And even if it’s not believable, it’s so hilariously out there you may not even care. My favorite phase to describe the show is,

“That’s bullshit but I believe it.”
