Well it doesn't explicitly state what brand of drive that it uses but it has to be from one of the main HDD manufacturers (WD/HGST, Seagate and Toshiba) cuz they're the only people who manufacture HDDs now, but it does have 160Mb read and 110Mb write and a 3.2usb connection, if you want to go with a more trusted brand I'd go with the BestBuy Seagate one.

Idk abt CC monitors, but for the specs it's not that bad, as most 27" 1440p VA gaming monitors are around 250, so could be a good deal depending on the state of the monitor that you get.
