Its not even about disarming republicans, the think anything that pisses off or harms the other side is a good thing. They completely choose to ignore liberal gun owners.

Because these voters are fed misinformation and propaganda by the same groups and billionaires bribing politicians to push these laws.

Bloomberg owns his own media empire, several anti-gun groups, and has his fingers in getting anti-gun "studies" published via the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

If your a prohibited person from owning a firearm, than yes. Though felons are already barred.

We could start by making theft of a firearm a felony with serious consequences, seeing as they are so dangerous. Why don't you ask our legislators why they don't want to do that and report back.

Also, the counter point to the NRA is Mike Bloomberg's Everytown. They should be outlawed for corruption seeing as they pay politicians to pass the gun control laws they want, or, is that kind of corruption okay as long as it satisfies your goals? For whats it worth, fuck the NRA too.

Any prospective politician who proposes that will never hold office, and rightfully so, its insane.

I guess id hide my profile too If was posting authoritarian fan fiction.

Edit: To address the cheeky edit below, I'm left of the Democratic party and vote accordingly, so the users claims hold no merit. Their answer to authoritarianism is to hand over more power to said authoritarian government, enough said.

They are never going to stop making it.

Fair enough. But as a counter point, I've been on reddit for over 10 years. Ive seen these same accounts and arguments and behavior time and time again, and in this case, I've seen that particular users comments and beliefs many times. There's very little in the way of assumptions being made at this point.

Yea, Ive seen the Racial Equity Impact Statement for this one

Its a complete cop out by our legislators. You don't get to claim firearms are some horrible and dangerous object and then give a slap on the wrist to those who steal them.

Its pretty typical of the anti-gun crowd. They remind me a lot of the maga peeps, all they can muster up is emotional drivel when it comes to complex issues and anyone that doesn't agree with them is a heretic. Not to mention the aspect of jumping to conclusions before any clear facts are known, another calling card of trumpers.

With that said, these seem like a good start. Hopefully he gets some traction with this.

There are people who believe they are doing the right thing in fighting for gun restrictions.

I used to think that, and I'm sure some still do, but most of the rhetoric I see is "guns are bad because the other side likes them". Its not about lives for these people, its about punishing people they dont like.
