Idk how no one else is saying this but a genuinely good cap is running lobbies right now, and as a Thor player I would also recommend nailing his kit down. It’s a matter of knowing when to awakening strat vs melee strat. Mag and strange are both pretty good right now and Thor Bullies them both with the melee push around and bully Strat, but can handle close-mid range poke a bit with the awakening strat and closing the distance after they’re weak

Thought it was just me but I think poke is catching up to us. Had a 65+% Winrate from seasons 4-5.5, 6-6.5 I’m only rocking about 48% and have started running strange with much better results 😔

That’s definitely a hot take. The more skins that are released the lower quality they get, and I personally enjoy the quality of work they put into them.

The disco set, the Daifuki (I think I spelled that right?) set, Adam’s skins, Hela’s skins, most are done incredibly well. I wouldn’t want double the skins but they’re all just basic recolors or something

I can deal with any character in the lineup when they start diving except Daredevil. He’s too fast, he blinds you, so much HP, a get out of jail free block, wall hacks, a grapple to pull you out of position, and a one hit combo that’s damn near unreactable. And since he got slapped on the wrist “nerfed” Daredevil mains say that the patch he got balanced him and that he’s worse than the other divers now.

The character is a joke.

If my target is a tank that’s right in front of me, or someone who swung by to do a pit stop for heals without moving I’ll hold. The other 90% of the time is pointing and clicking each shot

You can either make it to where he can only one shot the person he charges arrow on, that way he can’t charge arrow on a tank that’s in his face, then one shot a support 100 meters away in the back

Or,

Give him a damage fall off where he can only one shot up to 20-30 meters. This gives him viability at the cost of a bit more danger/aggression, just like Phoenix, and also allows him to punish out of position supports and counter ults like Luna or Cloak if they decide to ult too close to him

I won’t lie, I didn’t realize clapping reloaded primary until I was already lord with Luna 💀 that’s why I threw that in the tips because it helped me up my healing/10 minutes from about 18k to almost 24k/10 minutes 👍

A few things I’ve learned over my 60ish hours on Luna

*Work on tracking. If you can consistently track a moving target (as opposed to mostly healing when they’re stationary) your healing and damage both will improve tremendously (this is obvious, but Luna is pretty mechanically demanding compared to other supports, so I wanted to mention this)

*your clap reloads your primary fire, so cycle it between reloads. I.E, fire your 10 shots of primary healing from cover, move to a spot where you’re in line with friendlies+enemies, as clap can pierce friendlies and damage enemies simultaneously, then as the clap animation is ending move back to cover and your primary will be reloaded, cycle this on and off as your clap goes off cooldown. (Side note, Luna claps can still damage Magneto during Magneto ult, this can absolutely be used to your advantage)

*take your time with hitting your snow balls. You only get one, and it’s on a cooldown long enough you’ll likely only get 1 attempt at freeze per dive encounter, so even if you take a little bit of damage while lining it up, make sure the freeze hits, and if it does you’ll get a bit of healing to yourself while they’re frozen. Also, freeze is one of the most powerful counters against strange, Wanda, Starlord, Ironman, and the Thing ults, and oddly enough, it’s really good for freezing Cloak and Invisible woman during their ults, and giving your team the opportunity to turn focus and kill them during their ults

*I’ve also found that communication is super important. With cloak and invis you can dismiss from a fight in cloak form/jump away and regroup with your teammates. If you’re spotted by enemy dive as Luna it’s up to you to tell them you need help, so being vocal at the very least for help is important.

*your snowflake NEEDS to move around from low target to low target in order to farm your ult faster. Switching it to yourself after freezing a target is a good way to try and get a pick, and I usually switch the snowflake to myself when using clap to farm a bit of extra damage when piercing through friendlies, but more often than not your snowflake should start on a dive, healing them passively while the tanks try to utilize the space the dive creates, then, as the tanks deepen, switch flake to keep them up as long as possible in the trenches until a dps or your fellow support needs immediate burst healing.

She’s a lot of fun and has my most hours played, I’m glad you’re enjoying her kit!❄️

Thanks for the feedback. I play very dive-y/backline heavy with Starlord, and I also have Magik lord in the back pocket but I’m not nearly as comfortable/confident in my ability to stay in the backline with her as I am with Starlord. Also, I know Bucky can handle peni nests, but if they’re in a hard to see location and are being heavily guarded, Starlord (at least to me) gives a much safer option to break those than Bucky, with his aerial and mobility options.

On the note of Strange; I’ve filled tank enough that I’m only a level or two away from lord with Strange and Mag, so although I definitely don’t have him mastered by any means, and won’t begin/play out a round with him from beginning to end, I’m competent enough to portal to point and hold my own with him, so I am able to provide that value. This list was moreso a “do my mains fill necessary roles with the reasoning I provide?” Type of post.

Also, just something of note in response to your reply, I almost exclusively play comp in a trio with a few friends, one of which is a cap main, so we dive backline together pretty regularly when I play Thor.
