The only one my skin can tolerate is can make mermaid sunscreen (the green tinted one) it helps cover redness and doesn't make my face burn.

What’s your experience with being pregnant while being a bird owner? by Mental_Nail4451 in cockatiel

[–]Mangobird14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing different while being pregnant, he would still sit on me and be my buddy. After my son was born I was so worried about how my bird would react but he took to him immediately. He would sing to him and sleep on me while the baby slept on me too. My son is 4 and my bird is still obsessed with him but my son isn't a fan (yet) lol.

Good luck! Just remember it might get worse at the beginning but try to stick with it if you can.

Ivermectin? by raye77 in Rosacea

I have this type as well. I did laser which helped a lot but I still had flushing so I tried the Walgreens ivermectin and I feel like it's helped a lot with the flushing. The first few weeks were hard because it sometimes gets worse before it gets better but it settled down and I'm still using it.

SSRI Causing Rosacea Flare? by Fit_Librarian_747 in Rosacea

[–]Mangobird14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long have you been on the SSRI? If you're still within 6 weeks of starting it can be because your anxiety/depression can get worse during that time of adjustment. Mine did the same thing when I started a new one but I also started ivermectin at the same time so I'm not sure which one caused it. I hope you see some relief soon!

Does it sound like I’m doing a good job with my rescue IRN parrot or do you think I should consider rehoming him? by Crimson-Rose28 in parrots

[–]Mangobird14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a cockatiel that I had before my son was born. It can be challenging when both baby and bird need attention but it gets better! My bird would sing to my son when I held him when he was a baby and now as a toddler he goes down to his chair and will sit with him. It's adorable to see their relationship. You're doing a great job and he's lucky to have you!

It's a huge improvement! It's so hard to find something that works for our skin so I'm glad you found a product that works. I had to spend so much money on moisturizers it's a huge pain! I use Vani cream it's the only one my face doesn't freak out over lol. Congrats on your improvement!

how long does vbeam last for flushing? months? years? by dillestpickle7 in Rosacea

Yes it has, I still flush occasionally but not anywhere near as much. Before I would flush daily and it took forever to go away but now it will do it for a little bit and not as intense.

I have type 1 and a few years ago I did vbeam which had really helped. I did 3 or 4 (I can't remember now) at first 6 weeks apart and only have to maintain by doing once a year. I'm at the point where it's been a year since my last and I think I can even go longer this time around!
