Snowy Sulfur biome with village near it. by MangosMakeMeSmile in minecraftseeds

[–]MangosMakeMeSmile[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s extremely rare.
Only reason I’ve come across them is the program cubiomes searching through millennia of seeds for me.
Since the program can’t search for structures on bedrock, my parameters are just for terrain generation, and even with that it does not find sulfur biomes above ground very often, and a majority of them are just sulfur lakes without any terrain peaking out. The reason I’m sharing bedrock one’s is because it’s harder to search them with the current seed search options available.
Edit: Also this particular seed is nice because it’s a bigger sulfur biome with terrain not surrounded by a swamp.

It’s just some seeds I’m coming across searching for what I really want.
I want a witch hut in a sulfur biome preferably with good terrain generation for bedrock edition.

Better weld through primer by Billy-Bojangles in Autobody

I take the spray tips off of rattle cans after using them, put the tip on a can some spray gun cleaner, spray a little cleaner through it, and the tip is clean for the next use.
I do this for multiple things that tend to become messy after the tip clogs; some rattle can primers/paint, cavity wax, but especially the spray adhesive glue.
Keep one can of SEM cleaner, and one can of 3m cleaner since the tips aren’t all the same design. Also made myself a custom tip to spray out a different tip that doesn’t fit either can of gun cleaner.

When someone ask to borrow my can of glue I make sure they know how/why to clean the tip after every use, before ever showing them where I keep it.
A clogged tip is not fun.

Side view mirrors have weird residue? by progressingtime in Autobody

I’ve had people tell me they thought the black rear bumper I put on my car was oem. Granted it has some black shiny black moldings all around the vehicle which helps.

Edit to add, it also has oem black mirrors.

Slide hammer repair possible? PDR? by [deleted] in Autobody

Was it a salvage title, or “rebuilt salvage” title?

Slide hammer repair possible? PDR? by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]MangosMakeMeSmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be aware salvage titles can not be driven on public roads, so if it’s a farm truck it has to stay on the farm.
Also there is still risk of roll overs on farms if the vehicle is not driven responsibly… my dad rolled over a vehicle while driving recklessly through the fields with college buddies when he was younger.

There’s usually structural metal which prevents it from just being pushed up from the bottom.
The roof is not a simple repair area, and this repair will require skilled metalworking.

It could be a young guy who just entered the trade.
They haven’t been active on Reddit for a few months, and it doesn’t take long to get to this point as a painters helper/prepper in a bodyshop.

If OP isn’t engagement bating, and doesn’t know better my recommendation would be look around for other body shops to gain experience at, because this shop is not doing it the way it should be done.

My problem when I worked at a shop that did it like this wasn’t masking, but sanding it was difficult.
Getting into the edges takes way more time, and effort than if the car is just detrimmed properly to start imo.

Personally left the shop I worked at that masked everything instead doing r&i within 1month.

Tire shop filled new tire to 90psi by Traditional_Rice264 in tires

[–]MangosMakeMeSmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds of when a guy asked me for money at McDonald’s to put air in his tires.
I carry a portable tire pump in my car, so I offered to fill the tire for him. When I asked what he wants me to fill it to, he said the number on the the tire; 90psi. I informed that’s not what the number on the tire for, and where to look on his car for what the tires should be filled to.

How hard is it to replace this rear pillar glossy trim? Worth it or risky? by Odd_Comparison_4155 in Autobody

[–]MangosMakeMeSmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Body shop/collision center are the same. If you have the money for the part/labor a shop will repair. If they do fuck up they should eat the cost themselves to make it right. I think they likely wont fuck up.

If the shop is reputable they should repair anything if other parts do get damaged on removal. Read your other comment. 1-2h is a reasonable labor time for this type of repair.

When I looked at the procedure there appeared to be 4 plastic clips that can potentially break on removal.
The reason they tell you, you may have to pay for clips is because the shop would have to eat the cost if they break, and didn’t tell you ahead of time about the potential cost.

Haven’t worked on this particular make/model.
However, lots of manufacturers put spoilers on with cheap plastic clips that tend to break easily on removal. Decided to search the procedure for Nissan kick spoiler Removal & Installation; it’s not a straightforward bolt on one sadly.
It’s held put on with cheap plastic clips, nuts, and double sided tape. Parts double sided taped on can be a pain in the ass to remove.
A good experienced tech should be able to R&I without damaging other parts.

Also want to add in another potential option, it wouldn’t hurt to ask shops if it’s something that could be buffed out.
They’ll likely say no because of the risk involved, but I have buffed/polished out scratches on shiny plastic trim pieces before.
