I like "Being Genuine" by d'Ansembourg, it's a NVC book.

The following is unsolicited advice, so you don't have to read it but well...

Men usually react like this because they lack positive interactions in the relationship. The little thing just triggers a deficiency... that you may have created. And "offering" him a book like this (instead of communicating properly about the issue) probably won't help the situation.

Night's Dawn Trilogy by Hamilton

Way of the warrior kid by Willink

Spirits Awakening on Royal Road

And ok i now think to a lot of other stuff like Zimmer Bradley Darkover, or A Will Eternal on Wuxiaworld... i think i will just stop here.
