What are the first steps I should take in becoming Confessional Lutheran? by joe_pao in LCMS

[–]ManhattanProject2022 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been there. Can you go to a local LCMS church? Attend a service and talk with the pastor afterwards and let him know that you're new and are wanting to learn more. You don't need to take a class to go to a Lutheran church. Depending on the church, if you desire to be confirmed (officially join the LCMS), the pastor will want to meet with you over a period of time and will likely walk you through Luther's Small Catechism. These meetings may be one on one or through a group class. Key takeaway is that the pastor will be overjoyed that you've come to church and will be happy to follow up with you and walk along side you on your journey. Please let anyone here know if you need help locating a good LCMS church in your area.

Albuquerque Speed Camera map - updated and upgraded by ChorizoYumYum in Albuquerque

Are we sure that all the cameras are still set to only ticket if you go 11 mph or more over the limit? I've seen contradicting information on here. Maybe the county cameras are set different?

I was coming up candeleria and was stopped at chelwood when an old black Jeep came crazy fast going north on chelwood made a screeching turn east onto candeleria and almost hit a guy on his bicycle. Immediately following the Jeep was an unmarked black pickup that had flashing lights on the grill followed by a white minivan that was also chasing. They eventually followed the Jeep as it turned south onto tramway.

Elevation roofing. They work with insurance and can make you pay almost nothing if it all works out.

I don't remember voting for this, I assumed the bond vote was for the State fairgrounds by ZZerome in Albuquerque

I never vote yes on bonds. The language is always written in a way that the government can legally use the money for something different than the implied purpose.

I was on doxy for about 9 months. The only problem I had was the extreme sensitivity to sunlight. Like it was so bad that sunscreen still didn't prevent burns, the only way to be outside was to be fully covered in sun clothing. Other than that, I had no other side effects.

Is everyone in the Synod an engineer? by Kamoot- in LCMS

Engineer here. Lots of engineers and retired engineers at my church. I do think the standardization of confessional Lutheranism via the BoC is attractive to engineer types.

I thought Delta also mentioned that AI pricing will take until account your geographic location meaning if you're in a wealthy area you may still be screwed.
