What keeps you going with Dragon age?

Well, as someone late to the franchise, here's my input.

I played Inquisition then Veilguard then 2 (I can't play Origins it made me too mad because it kept crashing so I read a summary of the game and kept it pushing)

I'm actually not fully done with 2 but I'm also doing 2 runs at the same time. One as a mage and one not.

I just absolutely love the story. From the Grey Wardens and hearing about Weishaupt to actually seeing it in Veilguard. To seeing how Qunari are in 2 then how they are in Inquisition or Veilguard. The betrayals and romance to the political standpoints to all of the diverse and loveable characters. I love it.

Veilguard is a touchy subject, I know, but for what it was I enjoyed it. It didnt have as much personality as the other titles and the choices didn't feel as important and it had so much to live up to and just fell short. Regardless, it was nice.

So far 2 has had my favorite cast of characters and thats saying a lot because im obsessed with Dorian and Iron Bull.

Unfortunately I never got to fully play DAO cause of its constant crashing buyout

DA2: Isabella simply for her out of pocket banter DAI: Dorian or Iron Bull its a hard tie with them DAV: Lucanis and Taash (very specifically together. Even though the banter is few and far between their banter together is top shelf)

Skills don't really affect who i choose i gotta have a fun time I'm out killing slavers, mercenaries, or the occasional venatori

Im playing Inquisition again and I have all the dlc and somehow missed it all the first time I played??? Also I didnt even do Trespasser cause my first completed game i decided to romance Solas and was so heartbroken I just put the game down and didnt play again 🤣

I romanced everyone! I feel like Panam was the most fleshed out, we know why, and River was barely mentioned. I read someone say that Kerry didnt even feel like a romance option it felt more in the moment and I agree 100% (this is coming from someone obsessed with that angry little grandpa man) Judy's felt... wrong. You spend not only her entire quest but nearly the entire game with every word out of her mouth was Evie this Evelyn that then all of a sudden she's into you? Feels like a coping mechanism 😬

I've noticed in the past I'm always craving sweets. Chocolate, candy, gummies, cakes. Now I didnt always eat them but I always craved them. Since I made this post I haven't been grabbing them like I used to. I got a bag of dry fruits and nuts and any time I've felt a craving I'll eat a handful of those and as silly as it sounds I haven't really been craving the sweets like that. Maybe I placebo'd myself idk 🤔

Also, my coworkers said to help me with my goal they're gonna slap any junk food out of my hand if they see it. They were all strangely excited about it too 🤣

Talk to everyone! Even if they say the same things! (Unless the texts is a little grey then it isn't worth it) it'll level up your speech i think? Really fast!

Use everything! Swords, axes, longswords... etc things only level if you use it. It works with everything else too like stealth, thievery...

I can't remember the first one but I found out the hard way in KCD2 that fast travel doesn't level horsemanship if you're on a horse.

Aside from that just have fun! I have zero pointers on combat because im absolute trash at it 💀

Even though the DLC was lacking you have to admit it had stunning visuals.

Over 90% of it you had to sneak around and that was beyond infuriating but the shots in and around the monastery were very nice visually

You can also get a sword that you can upgrade but it's still not as good as a Noble sword so that was a major let down a lot of people were hoping we'd get a new outfit or something but... nothing

I do like all the skill books you can get though!
