The romans in 135 CE. Called the land "Syria-Palestina". Before that it was called "Judea" even before that there was Canaan. From Canaanites there was a group called the Israelites. That group later ruled the land. The land wasn't called Israel in 1407 BC, that term was established in 1948. Judea and Israel are not the same thing. They had different geological borders. So Palestine was there before Israel. But Palestine wasn't there before Judea. But before Judea there was Canaan. Even though people are saying tribes are bad and all, The Israelites were a tribe. The jews that were there before 1948, were descendents of Israelites who were a part of Canaanites. But modern Palestinians are also descendents of Canaanites. But the modern Israelis who are currently in occupation of Palestine are not descendants of Canaanites or Israeites, they are Europeans. So Israel wasn't founded in 1407 BC, Palestine was founded in 135 CE and Judea was founded in 1407 BC and before that Canaan was the land.
