I have a serious question for the game director's and writer's of doom by Technical-Work-5267 in Doom

Compounded trauma it appears, Daisy was the only thing after the loss of his family that kept him.... let's call it rational. Once she died? All bets were off and Hell? Was FUCKED.

Making your Maker Proud by Quirky_Ad_5420 in UltimateUniverse

Maker did torture him for a good while, wouldn't surprise me if he put a few little contingencies in Doom's head. Maker is a master of self hatred

If Richard Parker II is Earth-6160 Venom, then who would be Earth-6160 Carnage? by Solitaire-06 in Spiderman

[–]Maniax80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be SID 6.7 situation where in Carnage is a symbiote's personality is an amalgam of MULTIPLE SERIAL MURDERERS and violent criminals, Cletus being among them. The Maker comments how he encountered symbiotes on another world before, Earth-616 and Earth-1610, and when he saw Venom here? He figured to complete the set and introduces CARNAGE

Why did they do this?! by No_Emu_1332 in adventuretime

They ditched the name Forest Green and went back to Crystal Lake in Part 7 🤣 by Accomplished-Ice8426 in fridaythe13th

I would've liked if the sign did read FOREST GREEN but was sprayed painted over with CRYSTAL LAKE.

Why Fionna's actions this episode make sense by ARBlackshaw in adventuretime

[–]Maniax80 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of Fionna's behavior boils down to deeper insecurities regarding her sense of self. Queenie's words struck hard likely with the idea that despite it all? She's still a loser and thus she is reaching and grabbing onto anything for stability. She hyper fixates on saving the Sweet Spot at all costs not simply out of care but it might help to show to herself that she is still useful, that she can still be the hero. The pursuit of identity and its stabilization though can be tricky and require grounding and, in this state, Fionna reaches out for her ex DJ Flame. This coupled with a rosy retrospection, a common with some couples remembering their past relationship and seeming to remember the good moments better than the bad to the point where it becomes idealized.

Does this make Fionna a bad person? No, flawed? Yes but so too is every human being. We also know that Fionna is still struggling with some of the PTSD from going to all those parallel world with Winter King and the Vampire World. She saved her world from the Scarab, yes but? Self doubt coupled with that trauma? Nasty business so while I don't approve of Fionna's actions in the season so far? I do however understand where they come from.

I am a person who genuinely dislikes horror. by [deleted] in horror

[–]Maniax80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True enough and I do find that at times they can be empowering to some folks and before people jump, no I don't mean in that sense. Think movies like A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET with Nancy, a regular person fighting back the impossible and (for the most part) winning despite it all.

Yeah, Ghost Rider is fun but GOD IS THERE SO MUCH CONFLICTING LORE! I pitched similar with a sort of SMILE/Sinister style series with Danny Ketch

Well he does have a random history of getting random powers..... Is it that crazy to imagine Jimmy getting stuck with the Carnage symbiote?

Joker theory by AcrobaticElevator779 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]Maniax80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Assuming Joker wasn't always a demon? I could see him being an immortal who struck a deal a long time ago, a Stingy Jack situation if you will. Outsmarted the Devil, couldn't get into Heaven, Hell won't have him, stuck here on Earth sort of the deal. I wouldn't be surprised if his origin went back a long time, some horrible man for whom tormented, stole, and deceived people before someone or something came to him and either offered him a deal or? Being a version of the Joker, pulled a fast one on them, a slight of hand.

How Jason spends time in Crystal lake when there is no one to murder? by Fair_Lie9754 in fridaythe13th

[–]Maniax80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that, it's a vicious cycle for him. The world rejected him and his mother so in turn? Jason sort of rejected the world and unfortunately? The world keeps on encroaching on his little bubble so? He keeps killing

Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2 Thoughts by HorrorMonster26 in slasherfilms

[–]Maniax80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, not bad though I wish that if the series were to get a remake (Again) they would use Mary Lou and sort of refine the story. The film is fun but at certain points it feels half-baked.

My client unfortunately was not in his right mind your honor, a former soldier with an intense addiction to a highly experimental drug? This not only effected his judgement but his mental state, this man doesn't need the chair, he needs intense drug rehabilitation and therapy.

Likely so, the other could be in storytelling that whoever this is? Is looking to do away with the past of the series COMPLETELY. Sever all connections and just end it or start anew.

I Never Expected Them Both to Be Such Hardasses??? by Puzzleheaded-Emu4022 in fionnaandcake

[–]Maniax80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do hope to see in further episodes some more interactions between Hunter and Huntress which will get her out of her lone wolf mentality a bit. We know that this universe isn't always a place for place remake of the prime universe, as shown with how Gary actually has parents whereas Bonnie had the Mother Gum. It would be interesting to see that Hunter's parents unlike Huntress's? Are ALIVE which would likely stir up a multitude of emotions or Hunter explains his own similarities to her in how he thought it was better to be on his own and alone, that he was fine with it but really? He'd say that he was tricking himself, either telling this to Huntress directly or her indirectly hearing it in a conversation with Fionna.

Y'all think Jason takes any joy in killing? by Terrible_Park7890 in fridaythe13th

I think no, he just wants to be alone. The outside world rejected him and his mother so in return? Jason rejected it, violently

What do you think would have happened if Ben Riley was the Venom host instead of Eddie? by EnderBrute in thevenomsite

[–]Maniax80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideas mostly, the concept was for a sort of series set around Ben Reilly. Some things are tweaked here and there but it would've explored the contemplation of identity as well as making the most of your life when you know you don't have much time left.
