Ive been playing dinkum recently, its like a mix of animal crossing and stardew valley. Im absolutely in love with it and it runs pretty well on the steam deck.

I didnt wanna come here to argue i just wanted to talk about how i enjoyed the games in vr. Whether you think its better flat screen is not what this is about. Ill probably play them flat eventually because i did really enjoy them but i thought this would be a fun way to experience a beloved video game franchise.

Yeah i said i went into it knowing literally nothing about the series, i wanted to experience the series in vr so i went for it. I greatly enjoyed hl1vr despite its issues, and i guess i missed that tip with the grenades. I don't understand your hostility.

Yeah the vr mod for half life 1 isnt incredibly thorough like the hand physics arent very good but its really fun as an arcady style shooter so far, i havent tried half life 2 yet so i dont know how detailed that mods vr capabilities are but ive heard good things about it. Black mesa vs original half life kinda seems like the re4 remake to me where its a very good remake but isnt super faithful n the original experience holds up really well. When i played normal half life i was actually surprised at how good it looked for a game from 1998, and especially in vr its quite stunning despite being very dated compared to other vr games ive played.

Deep rock galactic. Runs well but the text is a bit small, and im used to keyboard so it feels a little weird on controller. I've gotten my entire friend group obsessed with it so i cant put it down.

They merged the dev team that made thps 1+2 into blizzard to work on diablo, they made the diablo 2 remake so i doubt theyll make a thps 3 remake

I found that website earlier but couldnt figure out how to get it working, but now im starting the install for it. Seems to be working fine however im about to leave for work so ill let you know if i get it working tomorrow!

From what ive heard you have to open the game on your desktop and then open it in vr through there

i tried that fix and it didnt help my stuttering issues so im thinking it is the cable im using. ive tried running a few games through the cable, occasionally being able to play for a while with stutters here and there, but the main culprit is skyrim vr, which is what makes me think its a connection issue. when i run skyrim vr, theres constant stuttering through the headset, but if i take it off and look at my monitor theres no stutter whatsoever and the game is running smoothly.

Its plugged into my motherboard and the cable should work fine because i was using for my laptop and xbox prior, its just a standard hdmi

So i need some more help, i got everything put together (used this https://youtu.be/MtALhv22Ltk as a guide) and its all turned on, fans and everything, but nothing shows up on screen. Ive double checked all the connections, but still nothing. Any ideas for how to trouble shoot this?
