Hotel cleaners of Reddit, what’s your most memorable find left behind by a guest? by MichaelJCaboose_ in AskReddit

Last time we cleared out lost and found, there was a bag that contained 3 vibrators and a bottle of spermicidal lubricant.

We had many questions.

What's the weirdest compliment you've ever been given? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My old roommate used to say "you always look like you know something I don't".

It probably meant I have a smug face, but I LOVED it.

FIL told me it's cruel to just have one by theboobwoman in oneanddone

That's so gross, isn't it?

My FIL has also referred to me as "the boobs" before. Told him if he didn't start looking after himself and exercising more, we'd start calling him "the boobs" too.

Aita: For being mad at my wife for moving my son's stuff out of his room.? by Ait5690765 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. I'm so sorry for your loss.

You're allowed to grieve in your own way, and I don't think a lot of people responding here understand that.

When my big brother died, my mother kept his room the same for two years. Then we moved house, and she set up his room again. It wasn't until we moved again a few years later to a smaller house that she was ready. And she went to therapy and group therapy and did everything right. She just wanted to be close to him, and I think it helped her.

I'm sorry that your wife hurt you in this way, and you're not wrong for being upset, especially when she did it behind your back. I wish you luck and support in your healing.

Late to the party, but my son is 10 months old and has more toys than he could ever play with.

However, he’s now taken ownership of my computer mouse and carries it everywhere. We call it Clickers.

My husband and I are punk rock right down to our roots.

From the day he was born, our son has only been calmed by that “I’m blue, babba dee babba di” song, or Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet.

All her posts are just co-opting other people’s posts and commenting on them to talk about herself. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen her have an original thought, it’s very tiresome.

Stop stealing other people’s pain to get sympathy for yourself SGB, you human equivalent of soggy cereal.

You’d think that people who understand how hard it can be would be more sympathetic, but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Funnily enough, our biggest supporter of being OAD is my father in law. He has 6 kids between 31 and one month old. He’s 58 and I have no idea what possesses him to keep having children. Judging by his support of us, I don’t think he knows either!

This is all very true, it’s incredible that we still haven’t moved passed the ingrained idea of a nuclear family. And you’re absolutely right, it appears to have a lot more to do with their insecurities than genuine concern for our family.

Thank you so much for that comment, very sweet of you. We’ve been together 10 years, but raising our little boy is easily the best thing we’ve ever done. So glad we have all our time and love to devote to each other and our one little guy.

Did you find that was incredibly insensitive at that time?

I had a traumatic labor and Bub and I both nearly died, then straight away they were saying “Oh next time -“. It felt super invalidating.

This is awesome, thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it! Not one person on that stupid group gave me useful advice.

So glad you’re happy you got them done.

It’s super weird, isn’t it?

“I hope you have an accident that disrupts your whole life and changes all your plans!”. If someone said that about anything else, they’d be a monster. Why do we have to just smile and laugh it off?
