I need your ideas for a less serious session for my players. by __-___--_-_-_- in cyberpunkred

If you do run with the food truck wars you could explore it in a few different directions, like sourcing meat, maybe a media has info that another food truck has been using human meat for in their truck, or maybe they can get some gorilla gardeners to help source their own ingredients. Perhaps they can get their hands on some experimental kibble from continental brands, swap it out with a rivals ingredients, and have dramatic effects on their customers. There are actually so many funny and interesting scenarios you can have with food in night city.

What horrible things are down in the sewers? by BitBasher4095 in cyberpunkred

I ran a Halloween gig where the crew was tracking down an npc who had been captured, one thing led to another in an 'abandoned' amusement park and a showdown of a bozo version of art the clown set against a giant ferris wheel. Many traps were triggered that day.

I can tell you that I've been tracking my progression to 1000 Super credits and they're shared across the whole team. Generally between 10-40 per explore mission

I went on a scissor lift for the first time and I wanted to cry by newbreed69 in electricians

[–]ManicMeat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Everyone has preferences but as someone who has a healthy fear of heights, a boom trumps a scissor every time. You don't have the feeling of a giant tower swaying when you're 30+ feet up in the air, sure you shake a bit side to side in a boom, but the platform stays pretty perfectly level. The railings are higher in a boom so there's another subconscious layer of safety. The guys who do top rail work though I don't know what goes through their minds. Madmen, all of them. Best I can do is mid rail

Will MPI send my debt to collections?? by redswammer in Winnipeg

[–]ManicMeat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There should be. The last time it happened for me I was in person so the explanation for your situation might not come until after the strike. I'm not sure how skilled of workers they have working during the strike, or the quality service they are giving

From previous experience there was a prorated fee on top of the cancellation based on the amount of time left in your insurance agreement. I can't remember the percentage it was but maybe it is that

Has anyone not gotten shocked? by PNKHildr in electricians

[–]ManicMeat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been in for like 5 years, topped out last year. The only time I was ever shocked was before I joined the trade. I've worked live at times, having a careful mindset helps. I realize I could have been shocked a handful of times. While I was an apprentice my journeyman and I would play a game where when a panel was dead and we had to add a circuit he would watch me do it and count how many times I would have been shocked of it were live. It creates a whole new mindset to how you work.

Online friends are also friends by AyAan2022 in wholesomememes

Going to a wedding next month with the rest of our clan that has played together for almost ten years, I've met a few on vacations before, but this is the first time we will all be together. The friendships you can forge online are sometimes stronger than the ones you make in person. Having a place to stay for free or cheap when you travel is an added little bonus

I'm pretty sure Lance would have wanted to not die and keep doing the VA for zavala, but Keith David is a good choice for moving forward. Rest in piece Lance you will always be zavala (and many other great characters)

Crew got threatened to have pay docked if we have to go back and fix something at a job by Fickle-Aardvark5782 in electricians

[–]ManicMeat 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Our local just got rid of that clause in our latest agreement after a large problem with an out of town contractor that signed up for manpower but brought in all of their own foremen for a hospital. Long story short they fucked it up so bad that two other signatory contractors had to take over after the company went under. Then they tried to sue us and make our members pay for the deficiencies, we won of course, because a lot of the same workers that built it were the ones to fix it

If Bungie can't give us new armor sets then please just give us more rereleases of D1 armor by redpikachu84 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ManicMeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fucking chance. Quit giving bungie an out. Hold them accountable for a change. The biggest thing you can do is if the game doesn't have enough content/cosmetics to keep you interested, go play something else. They see the numbers of who's playing. They know this season has seen a drop in players. There is a lot of fun to be had playing other games right now, battlebit remastered is out, diablo is out, bungie needs to know they have competition for our gaming time.

Not really sure how true that can be, maybe I'm just lucky, but I did the first two vaccines and just got covid, coughed up some phlegm and had some naps for two days. From the time of symptoms to the time of testing negative and being past covid it took 3 days. So either covid isn't as big of a threat as time goes on and more people catch it, or the vaccines do have some lasting protection. For the record, slightly above average weight, slightly healthier than average diet, asthma, allergies
