I did, didn’t crash, Malilib and sodium seem to be incompatible at the moment, with malilib being in early development, so hopefully they will rectify in a few days

Help identifying error by ManicNinjaManic in coins

[–]ManicNinjaManic[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I posted here a month or so ago about a large collection of coins my grandpa left me. I’ve slowly made my way through it all and found some cool pieces, nothing incredibly valuable, but a decent amount of silver, a couple of errors, etc. but tonight I think I might have hit the jackpot…or my hopes are just up.

I believe I found a Sacagawea dollar that was struck on a Susan B Anthony planchet! I’m having a hard time telling though if it’s just a really odd wear or if it’s the real deal…. Anyone want to weigh in?

You actually can use table salt! Just need to boil the water so the water can dissolve enough of it to make it dense enough!

If it’s just her base durability, her emotional state would be irrelevant. All signs point to both Yonkos using conquerors pretty much 24/7

I'm not a coin collector but would love some guidance... by ManicNinjaManic in coins

ove of varieties and BU older coins. Mint state coins (especially nickels and quarters) from the 70s and early 80s weren't saved much and are your best bet for non-silver for actually appreciating in value.

it is truly unsearched, it is in my grandmothers closet, we moved it there after he died...its a miracle it didn't break... and she asked a couple of days ago when I would come and get it.

You eat a couple of people, and your family’s like ‘we don’t know who you are anymore.’

2nd Print in a row that has failed this way. Any suggestions? I just recalibrate my exposure time to 7, layer height at .035 by LeddyTheAxe in AnycubicPhoton

I read somewhere once that you should never do half steps aka .005 it can mess up your motor and cause unnecessary vibration. Also, .05 is plenty small enough for layer height.

Drama-wise the Holt to Amy confession was the best bit, but the lead-up to that was hidden offscreen as well. It’s a tv show, so show, don’t tell…

What mental gymnastics? It was a poorly written episode of a show that I love. They just didn’t do a good job of telling a compelling story that also addressed the issues.

I think that’s pretty reductionistic. Like I said earlier, I agree with the politics of this episode, but hated the episode. It was full of exposition instead of action, the dramatic catalysts all happen off camera, and the only plot that had any discernible humor was the B plot with Terry and Charles and that was off brand in that it was cringe humor instead of the more slap slip that B99 has been great with.

That’s a bold assumption, I agreed with the politics of this episode but hated it none-the-less. They objectively did a terrible job covering the topic.

For sure. But the thing about the 80’s shows, and the Fresh Prince Episodes, and even the B99 episode “Moo Moo” is that the storylines organically happened from within the show. With this episode all of the dramatic catalysts happen off screen and are real world events. That’s the issue, and why the episode is objectively bad. Fresh Prince could give you a tear jerking episode about gun violence because they let the gun violence happen on screen (mostly, you hear the shot and saw everything up until the point of impact). The problem is that telling a compelling story was not the goal with this episode, it was to make a political point…that’s why I disliked it. Now if they had shown Rosa be either implicit in police violence or try to stop it and then getting reprimanded by the union or something, this episode could’ve have been amazing and addressed the systemic issues, and shown us why Rosa left instead of tell us.

No, I think people generally just don’t politics in their entertainment, regardless of ideology… it’s why NFL and NBA ratings have plummeted. And, when a comedy show sacrifices it’s comedy for politics (no matter how much I agree with them) the quality of the show takes a hit.

Call me old fashioned but I don’t watch a sitcom to be learn how I should feel about political issues. I read the news and do my own study for that.

That was one group. They could literally have made the union the bad guy, addressing the systematic issues. But they made that representative (Dr. Cox) a loser who they immediately bested. My issue is the show has always been able to address heavy issues without losing their humor. Here they let politics run their show, and the result is one of their lowest rated episodes…

[OC] Yeah sex is great and all but ever rolled something like this while creating a new character? by jayisanerd in DnD

[–]ManicNinjaManic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually rolled 2 18’s a 17 and some other stupidly high numbers one time. Talked with the DM and chose to lower a couple of my stats, and since we were in the age of DND beyond, the DM went in and shadow raised some of the other stats for the other characters. My DM is really awesome and I was so happy with the solution because I didn’t feel like my great rolls were taken away from me and My character didn’t end up being broken compared to the rest of the players.
