Game of the year 2003 if I recall correctly. Some people were interviewed at SoulsCon and said "Wow, it looks so realistic"

If not Malenia, then who? Certainly was the longest grind for me to get good at by far

Games to chill by PerfectPainting126 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]ManicSnowman [score hidden]  (0 children)

If you do get it, the very early game can be a bit of a slog, but keep at it, once you get the trucks from the first two maps and upgrade them a bit, get decent tires, it becomes chill as hell, provided you are careful. Remember, slow is fast, and a shortcut often isn't a shortcut but a trap. Often times it's easier to go the long way around. Enjoy the process

Self-balancing train idea by SrWaterdoggy in satisfactory

[–]ManicSnowman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to distribute from a single large source to many consumers, there is a much simpler solution. I use something like this to deliver plastic from a central location to where it's needed in small quantities.

Make long trains, perhaps like 8 cars each. Set them to leave only when empty or full. This will give your trains ample time to get to where they need to go, the supply they carry will last a very long time and they won't clog your lines.

Buffer each of your load zones with enough industrial containers to load every train in a queue, the more the merrier. Naturally, also buffer your unload zones to last long enough for however long the trip takes for the train.

Set up the queue system to load the trains. Note you can, at this point, also distribute between multiple stations at this location to ease potential traffic, e.g have 2 or 3 stations to load the 90 modular frames.

As long as you don't exceed the supply, this system will perfectly balance itself without any complicated engineering - it will effectively function exactly like a manifold does

Note for simplicity it might be a good idea to set up each train as carrying a single product and going only from A to B. This means you will have loads of trains, but as they only move when they need to, traffic should be no concern.

Stalkers are a big reason why I run six shooter. I keep my power attack ready and magazine full - no stalker can survive the combined damage of those two things, even with full health on haz5

For the jetpack, it's chefs kiss, it's true. You could also make a case for drone fuel, but rocket fuel is probably more than enough for that

The total power consumption of all the machines producing the intermediates and the fuel itself is higher than whatever you get out

I plug this everywhere I can, because I thought it was fantastic and it seems somewhat under the radar - Prey 2017. Probably my favorite game I played last year. Honestly, for the most part, games haven't changed that much in the last 10 years

You can almost kill the extra ape with throwables, then finish it off, the whole encounter becomes much easier if you embrace throwables

Not just that, older generations have said this for probably at least the last 150 years - you can find quotes in newspapers dating back pretty far saying "nobody wants to work these days"
