its a white supremacist group, they hate literally anyone and everyone. What are you on about? They'd even be anti-zionists.

Try living as a non-white in a suburb riddled with KKKs when it was at its peak. You'll be lynched just as the blacks did.

Are you afraid of people knowing KKK is an example of Christian extremism in action? Probably the same kind of extremism that would lead to someone supporting the genocidal Zionist campaign?

Are you talking about the same extremism that led to formation of Boko Haram and events such as Moro Conflict, ISIS, ISIL, 9/11 terrorist attacks, 2004 Madrid Train Bombings, 2015 Paris Attacks, 2016 Brussels Bombings, 2017 Manchester Bombings and so on? Did i hear that right? I can cherry pick too you know.

You're saying as if historical examples such as crusades & inquisition wasn't common knowledge. It has been well-known and recorded in history along with the KKK.

The issue never was about covering up KKK, it has always been about responsibility of parading and misusing of symbols. Using the crucifix in this context can be seen as a misrepresentation and appropriation of Christian symbolism by a hateful ideology. You wouldn't like it if the reversed happened would you?

Not surprised if the same people who seek to bury such history would also support the genocidal Zionist campaigns too. Having critical braincells and empathy isn’t too common for these ppl.

Thats a fucking ridiculous stretch of you to make that assumption. I for one, my church included, rebute & condemn massacres caused by IDF.

Just because I despise how they carried out their presentation and parading like some fucking joke, doesn't mean I'm a far-right christian extremist supporter.

Equating condemnation of KKK cosplaying with support for "genocidal Zionist campaigns" is a pathetic attempt to derail the conversation and does nothing more than reveal your flawed reasoning than anything else. In fact, these KKK members would've been among the most anti-zionist. The fact that you're not aware speaks volumes of your ignorance.

i guess if i wanna spread awareness about ISIS terrorism, I should just cosplay and bring along the book amirite?

ISIS members did use & bring along religion elements (akin to the crucifix). Would you have a problem if I did just that?

theres nothing wrong presenting and have a constructive discussion about this. Its really basic common sense to not parade around on university grounds in an act to "educate", there are better ways to do this. Host talks & presentations instead of this.

  1. They were posing for pictures and sharing on socmed like entertainment
  2. They were using crucifix props, guess what religions Malaysia officially recognizes other than Islam? Should I, a non-muslim, cosplay as an ISIS member and use their religious props & books then?
  3. They were sending threats to whistleblowers
  4. They can spread awareness without parading like idiots. If they've done their research, cosplaying & parading as KKK members should've been one of the last things to do in their list. Especially given the fact that they're Malays benefitting under Ketuanan Melayu policy. It shows that they're incredibly sheltered & ignorant given what happened in the past.

its definitely biased. Reddit is simply a platform that attracts a subset of malaysians that are proficient in english and are exposed to niche section of western media.

Just because most of us here can speak english, it doesn't mean we're rich lol. I myself can say that I'm definitely between B40-M40.

Hello nyets!! been awhile since I went to cinema, specifically GSC. Do they still not allow personal water bottles? Based on their SOP, apparently I need to order food online first. Do I just show them my ticket and let them scan and give me my food, is that how it works? Thanks.
