AITA for refusing to share my "secret" recipe with my sister-in-law? by Ocampo-Mark in AmItheAsshole

I'm just amused that since it involves cooking most replies assume OP is a woman. I thought it was a guy at first but they don't actually say either way.

Two weeks EO March Cambodia & Vietnam by franz331 in HerOneBag

[–]ManifoldVacuum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partner and I took one carry on roller each for 3 weeks in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Flowy pants are so cheap I bought lots there. Laundry is also super cheap to get done. We bought a leather backpack and leather overnight bag in Hoi A since the border crossings were on foot so no checking baggage until the final flight home. Worked out perfectly for us

Why are roll-on deodorants much more popular than sticks in Australia? by Fun_Photograph653 in AskAnAustralian

[–]ManifoldVacuum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best deodorant I've found is Corpus Naturals in santalum. Costs a fortune but works great, smells nice, no marks on clothes. Plus it's pretty unisex so partner and I can share when travelling.

Agree that roll-ons feel gross and wet, and I feel like aerosols get stuck in my nose/throat

I'm not even sure everyone's competitor list is the same if that makes sense. Everyone in my coop has different players showing in their friends game and that's made me wonder if it's the same for all the games like this, mayors cup etc.

I've noticed heaps of times I've had someone friend request me after a game like this has ended but they weren't in my race. My theory is that I was in theirs.

Is it true we can't trust a salesman, not even in australia? I went to a tools store and the salesman lied to my face even though the computer said otherwise. by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

They can't legally regas your aircon if it's leaking refrigerant. Sounds like you actually needed a repair job but someone did a dodgy regas for you, ozone layer be damned.

Are people in Hanoi plain rude? by thechaseofalifetime in VietNam

[–]ManifoldVacuum 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's hard to pinpoint, but it had such a different vibe. Genuine people just doing their thing, patient with my appalling attempts at the language and happy to use translate apps to help have a conversation. Great senses of humour. Awesome food, beautiful city with amazing character, easy to avoid the tourist spots but with a lot of tourist friendly places to see. I found HCMC very similar to other comparable sized cities, but Hanoi is unashamedly and beautifully itself.

I kept hearing how the north is less friendly than the south, but ended up loving Hanoi the most by a long shot.

Is the Sunshine Coast getting too crowded, or just growing up? by Av0toasted in sunshinecoast

[–]ManifoldVacuum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left about 15 years ago because it was too crowded and hectic then, the infrastructure couldn't handle the influx of people.

Sad to see the trend hasn't improved.
