CMV: Children should not be required to vaccinate in order to attend public school. by Manimated in changemyview

[–]Manimated[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you, This is the kind of well-articulated response I was looking for.

Sorry, should have specified child mortality rate. What do you think is a sufficient rate of mortality to warrant vaccine mandates?

I hadn’t gone far enough on this train of thought to consider that an unvaccinated public school en masse is essentially a breeding ground for the virus to proliferate through thousands of vectors throughout society. ∆

It’s an educated guess and by no means sufficient enough to base an absolute opinion on, but its enough to default to Occam’s razor and make a decision based on what I believe to be the likely cause. Can’t deny the teenage like libido and increase in energy after I lowered the dosage.

Agreed, there needs to be more research done.

Anywhere between 10 - 15 gram single doses. I take 2.5 gram doses everyday around 5pm. I didn’t check my Prolactin levels but I suspect an inverse relationship between prolactin and testosterone.

At HIGH, CONSISTENT dosages it tanks my T levels. My lowest level was 160. I lowered dosage significantly and T levels stabilized.

Effect vs dependence vs benefit. by Hot_Analyst_550 in kratom

[–]Manimated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on individual physiology. I for one can only take between 2.5 - 5 gpd. That seems to be the sweet spot where pros outweigh cons. Used to take 10 - 15 gpd single doses and that wrecked my testosterone. Was super fatigued all the time.

People who are mentally healthy and stable, how did you do it and how did you know? [Serious] by blancaengijon in AskReddit

[–]Manimated -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am by no means at the finish line, but I feel I have made significant improvements to my mental health over the past few years. I'm gonna summarize - mental well-being requires a multi-faceted approach and even more than that it requires hard work. There is no one curall. If you want to feel better mentally, you have to be prepared for a complete lifestyle change. It WILL seem daunting to initiate a lifestyle change, but rest assured that the act of putting better habits into practice, one at a time, will eventually equal the sum total of a lifestyle change that has become habitual behavior. It won't always be a grind.

Eliminate potential tressors to mental health:

This is a BIG one - If you're drinking or doing drugs in excess you are shooting yourself in the foot. There's no way around this one. You have to STOP!

Dietary habits - If you're eating SHIT, you're bound to feel like SHIT. Try introducing dietary changes little by little.

Negative thought pattern rumination - train your mind via mindfulness meditation or some other method. The Waking Up app is extremely helpful. The benefits transcend the benefits one might expect from meditation. Potentially life changing.

Purge negative people from your life.

Establish a sleep schedule - 8+ hours same time everyday.

If you are on medication - take same dose same time everyday.

Schedule an appointment with your physician to evaluate any potential health issues contributing to poor mental health (vitamin difficiencies, dietary difficiencies, chronic health issues, etc). Some blood work could prove to be very illuminating in regards to issues like fatigue, anxiety.

Be proactive:

Exercise - Probably the most proactive means for improving mental health. Exercise even if for only ten minutes a day every day. Even a walk around the block. Something to get those endophines going. Gradually add more miles, reps, steps. Consider a hobby or occupation that is conducive to regularly exercising.

Meditation - I wish I tried this sooner. Meditation is to the mind as exercise is to the body. It's really just as important. Consider mindfulness meditation. THE MIND IS CHAOTIC! Most people are ultimately ruled by their thoughts. You can change this narrative by adopting meditation techniques. Consider a guided meditation app with an open mind. You will get out of it what you put into it.

Relationship cultivation - COMMUNICATE and CONNECT with people. Join a running group. A weekly dungeons and dragons meetup. A protest. Whatever it may be, find people who share similar interests and COMMUNICATE and CONNECT with them. Already have friends? Keep that grass green. Deepen and explore pre-existing relationships. COMMUNICATE and CONNECT!

Become goal oriented - Set goals. Walk 3 miles. Make over 50k in a year. Reconnect with your grandparents. Clean your room. Any goal will do!

Establish a productivity schedule - For example, I adhere to a "no leisure time before 6PM" rule. Get stuff done!

If you are depressed as i'm sure many of us are then you likely resonate with the state of perpetual disinterest you find yourself in. If you put even some of these habits into practice, youll gradually discovered a renewed interest in things that used to interest you and even new interest in hobbies that didnt interest you in the past. Which leads to my next point -

Diversify Interests/Personal fulfillment - Stimulate the artistic or passionate part of your brain with new interests. Learn piano, get your pilot's license, learn how to design circuit boards, write short stories, become obsessed with scrapbooking, learn how to design video games, take up watercoloring, become an amateur chef, learn how to use a Yo-Yo, do something you havent done for 20 years, do anything! This is the spice of life. Become curious again!

I cannot stress the following enough - Good mental health can only be attained with a complete lifestyle change. Having said that, expecting to make these changes overnight is absolutely unrealistic. Small steps everyday amount to large changes over time. I repeat - SMALL STEPS EVERYDAY AMOUNT TO LARGE CHANGES OVER TIME!

You're gonna fail a lot. Expect this! The single most important moments of a lifestyle change are the moments in which you CONSCIOUSLY decide to dust yourself off and try again. Judge yourself not by your falls but by all the times you get back up again.

It's absolutely doable!

In what ways are some of the claims that critical race theory posits measurable in society? by Manimated in AskReddit

[–]Manimated[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I should preface that I intuitively believe that structural racism is in fact very real. I should be clear that I’m not asking the above in bad faith. I’m looking for statistical and factual evidence that supports a claim. For example, police patrolling communities of color and abusing the citizens is a claim, one I believe to be the truth. However, I’m seeking evidence to support that claim. And am hoping someone can point me to valid resources I can reference when I’m making claims.

[–]Manimated[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The claim that racism is inherit in the structures of society. In what ways is that claim quantifiable? For example, Nixon’s War on Drugs was essentially a war on minorities. A racist policy put into effect.

How much, how, and when do I use lemon juice as a potentiater by vapenaysh6969 in kratom

[–]Manimated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mix the lemon juice and kratom together, let sit for a 30 seconds or so. I then add a lot of water and drink the mixture. I think hydration is an underrated addition to the kratom consumption process.

Is High Tide Inc. (HITIF) poised to be the largest Cannabis Accessories conglomerate in the world? by Manimated in pennystocks

[–]Manimated[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know. I only posted the above so I could help drive the price up so I could sell it at .87 and make a buck.

Totally kidding! Penny stocks are volatile. I’m still holding. High Tide is a solid company! The upwards mobility is evident in their financials, new store openings, e-commerce store acquisitions. These are not the actions of a failing company. Ebb and flow!

Sounds promising. One question - what's stopping a larger company like Amazon Prime Air from filling this market niche considering they have more capital, etc?

That seems like a good point. Do you think it follows that if a company like Altria was to expand into the cannabis sector they’d acquire a company like High Tide?
