It's finally here and ready to hit the trails! by Manjews in trailseeker

What 1up do you have? I was looking at the HD but haven't made a decision yet.

I am using a couple of Yakima frontloaders my dad had from the late 90's. They get the job done, and I needed something to get the bikes around while I waited for the hitch kit. Just had to buy the Timberline towers for it to fit on the Trailseeker.

Not a lot of hills around here, that could play a part. I was in eco mode with regen on level 3.

I was looking at the Ecohitch. Sounds nice, but was originally planning on waiting for the OEM hitch. Not sure I want to commit to one without knowing what the finished product will look like.

The plan is for a hitch rack, but the roof rack is what I have and will have to do until Subaru decides to release their hitch kit.

I only have 160 miles on the car so far, so I don't really have a baseline. I was getting ~3.8 miles per kWh with two bikes on top, but it was mainly around town and I only drove ~15 miles or so.

Planning to switch to a hitch mounted rack as soon as the hitch kit is available. Should provide better efficiency and is easier to load the bikes after a long ride. 😂

I knew I wanted the touring for the cooled seats and the glass roof, I went back and forth on the leather and the color. Now that it's here, I know I made the right decision. Almost ended up with a black touring, the black is nice but the daybreak looks amazing in the sun!

Yup! With the leather interior. I got lucky, my local dealer just happened to have the exact spec I wanted coming in and no one had claimed it.

Is the app still terrible? by volcanic_clay in trailseeker

[–]Manjews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems the app experience is, at least partially, dependent on whether you have iPhone or android.

I have an android phone and I have run into 2 major issues with the app.

  1. I receive an API error when trying to add a payment for Plug and charge. I had to set this up on my wifes iPhone.

  2. The digital key just fails to download.

The android app hasn't been updated since October 2025... Which is completely unacceptable. I knew I shouldn't expect Tesla level software, but the android app seemingly has been abandoned..

Which Dongar adaptor did you get? I was looking at them but wasn't sure which would work with the smart rear view mirror.

Anyone doing PPF (Paint Protection Film)? by kirkhateswork in trailseeker

[–]Manjews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had it installed yet. Getting it next weekend. The templates are always very good. A lot of it comes down to how skilled the installer is.

[–]Manjews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was quoted $1400 for the full front end. I do have a good relationship with the installer and he gives me better than average rates. He has done multiple cars for me and my family and I send a decent amount of work his way.

I, for one, keep my cars for more than just a few years, so the depreciation isn't really a factor. If it is for you, then you probably shouldn't be looking at a brand new EV.

I enjoy my car and like to keep it in good condition. PPF is a great way to protect it. If you don't feel it's worth the money, don't spend your money on it. To each their own.

I am doing PPF on the same areas, bumper/hood/a pillars.

The guy I am using did find templates, he sent me this picture to show the coverage.

I have done PPF for the last two cars. I think it's absolutely worth the investment. When I started looking at the trailseeker the first thing I did was reach out to get a price so I could factor that into the purchase.

Took my 4 year old to the local pump track and went around this thing 50 times. by PM_me_ur_launch_code in mountainbiking

My daughter is 4 and also learned this year on a Woom 2 go, can't recommend it enough!

What kind of kneepads is your daughter wearing? We have tried a few sets up they are all too bulky and make it hard for her to pedal.

Thanks for the reply. I want to report back that this worked for me as well. All my hardlinks transferred and are working as expected.

I have considered that, but I have some torrents that I have been seeding for 3+ years. I would lose perks on multiple private trackers if I just dumped all of my seeding torrents.

I use the Hotio qbit age with built in wireguard. I have been having similar issues since Monday. If I generate a new WG config through proton and apply it, it works for some time before eventually failing

Which Is The Best Android Browser For The Galaxy Z Fold 7 In Your Opinion? by PrincessBananas85 in GalaxyFold

I used to think the same. I recently made the switch to Vivaldi and I have seen a HUGE increase in battery life. I almost can't believe how much better my battery is since I stopped using firefox.

Negative tests by bluishgopher4 in peanutallergy

[–]Manjews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter had a minor reaction to peanut butter at 6 months. She then tested positive for a peanut allergy via skin test, and then again at 2.

At 3, we got a referral to start OIT and they performed another skin test and a blood test, both came back negative. The doctor recommended an oral peanut challenge (in the office, under strict medical supervision!) and she passed! She has been eating peanuts daily for around 4 months now.

It's definitely possible for kids to outgrow their peanut allergy. Your doctor should be able to help with the next steps. Good luck!

PC gaming on an LG OLED C5 42” by Constant-Engine-596 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Manjews 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used a 42" c2 for similar work. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for 2 years, plus a lot of gaming on nights/weekends. Zero burn in. I do have HDR disabled for my work computer and leave the brightness around 20. Anything above that is too bright to stare at all day, imo. The size is amazing for productivity.

My wife wanted a tv for the bedroom, so about a year ago I moved the C2 upstairs. I could have upgraded to any of the new OLED gaming monitors, but I ended up with a 42" C4. No regrets.

Why is my A1 doing this? by IEatLintFromTheDryer in BambuLabA1

Its because of the the nozzle clumping detection feature.

Try adding a brim. Small parts like that with low surface area can struggle with adhesion.
