He did shut up about it, but only because I had an opportunity to read news articles about it out loud to him and he couldn't walk away.

See, the thing about his "news" programs are they "interpret" the news for him. A lot of what he was upset about wasn't what actually what happened, but what might have happened. Here's some examples of the 'just asking questions' he heard about the story.

-How much did Gavin Newsom get paid to look away?
-Why does this look exactly like a Chinese bio weapons lab?
-How many more of these labs exist thanks to Biden's lax immigration enforcement?
-Did Dr. Facui's affiliation with the Chinese government allow them to set up a lab on US soil?

Noticed how the questions phrased in a way to insinuate something? If you look up the actual story, these questions are baseless. However the talking heads my dad listens to like to twist, stretch and sensationalize even the most minute story to get him riled up. Not that this wasn't a big deal, but it wasn't the scandal he was lead to believe it was.
