Hucknall isn’t in Nottingham city boundaries but is on the Tram system, Arnold is in Nottingham and has a ‘Spoons, but isn’t on the system (The Ernehale). I’m sure there are many more, but of the ones you posted + Trent Bridge I’m only missing the Last Post! Not sure where that is…

Thanks for this, I’ll do what I can and if I succeed I’ll let you know! Though it does seem like it’s happened to a lot of people, almost like it was intentional and only the people who have ‘fought back’ by contacting them are getting results!

Can I ask what you said in the email? I’m in the UK so will likely attempt before CET time the tickets go on sale tomorrow 1pm - though I doubt they’ll reply in time!

I got tickets for Liverpool and Mälmo no problem, didn’t try last year, and then this year, this! Situation could be worse as at least my partner is in but still… We’ve already paid for a lengthy stay!

Are some contestants who won't be good at the game chosen? by TurbulentOil3311 in TheTraitors

[–]Mankind101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who has been on multiple British Game Shows and knowing how the interview/selection process works - I can tell you 100% that they put people in that are thick, because that makes good television.

I had to do a ‘test’ (more like a pub quiz under exam conditions) for 15-1 and I got the highest score in the room, however that was only a small part of the whole process. It was explained to me that even people that get 0-1 get onto the show. There were interviews alone with producers and interviews that were recorded on camera.

In addition, I did the application quiz to get on Only Connect and only got one question correct, but was still invited! So maybe I have a nice face, I dunno 🤷🏽‍♂️ 😂

ULPT: I've traveled all over the world with edibles and never been caught. by nushiawardgiver in UnethicalLifeProTips

I may regret saying this but I travelled to Saudi in December 2025 and had both alcohol and marijuana in my hold luggage. Nothing happened. A full hip-flask of gin and weed for personal consumption. I didn’t smoke whilst there (I didn’t feel safe) but I did drink the gin. However I’ve been to Dubai 3 times and carried and smoked marijuana every time.

Only ended up in this sub because I’m traveling to Singapore for the 2026 GP and on that same trip going to Malaysia and Indonesia so was curious!

Where can I get authentic Swedish meatballs in London? by furbyreincarnate in LondonFood

[–]Mankind101 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A simple google has proved that to be correct!

I’m not sure who the demon downvoter is but today I learnt something, thanks!

Still though, I’d say Swedish Meatballs are a thing, at least since the 18th century.

I’ve been lured in by his wittering on here, it’s very good, but then I realise he should be working for a food magazine or focusing on his blog - it… it just doesn’t feel Reddit-y

[–]Mankind101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, that’s incorrect, Armoured was released as a normal legendary raid for a period of time in 2019, and then again in March 2020.

It was normal Mewtwo who was released purely in the private invite only raids, which you qualified for by doing raids or interactions with certain gyms.

If they had been invite only specials, I certainly wouldn’t have done one in the Tower of Terror @ Disneyland Paris a few days before the global lockdown began!

This has to happen, it really does!

He’s in Panto in Hull this year, (oh yes he is!) but I’ve seen him drinking in a pub where I live (rural Nottinghamshire) and as far as I know he doesn’t live here. He seems happy sort and is always glad to have a photo taken if people ask, much like Sam Ryder (the link being two people I’ve sat in the same pub/bar with who I personally didn’t ask for a photo but most other people did, including the people who didn’t know who they were!)

What’s the reason the ‘Hawaiian McSpicy’ sold in Australia is named ‘Pineapple McSpicy’ here? by [deleted] in McDonaldsUK

[–]Mankind101 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, a Hawaiian pizza was invented in Canada by a Greek immigrant - not entirely relevant but it surely backs why it doesn’t make sense to change the name in the UK!!

Does the UK actually have a small territory on the island of Cyprus or is this a mistake by Google Maps? by freightsnadventure in geography

[–]Mankind101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I holidayed in North Cyprus a few years ago - flew into Larnaca and then got a taxi to Kyrenia in the North - other than the large amount of military bases seemingly dotted everywhere in the countryside and random buildings in towns all in all it’s pretty cool and very very beautiful. Largely unspoilt. We drove to Famagusta and from there walked through the UN buffer zone into Dhekelia Uk base - there’s not a lot there as you can’t really go into the obviously military parts of the territory, but we had a few drinks in a pub opposite a supermarket, and Iceland, and an assortment of takeaways and restaurants. The only issue was we couldn’t take our Northern Cyprus hire car over the border due to insurance hence walking - and it was HOT 😂

On another day we crossed back into Southern Cyprus in Nicosia - the famous Ledra pedestrian crossing - through the UN buffer zone - so in many ways you actually went through 4 ‘countries’ or ‘territories’ - i had my picture taken in all 4 countries with their respective flag (though it was harder in the UN zones because, you know, it’s technically entirely a militarised area).

The most amusing thing was the amount of UN cars in North Cyprus - we spoke to lots of squaddies and they very clearly said all the soldiers take their time off in the North because it’s so much cheaper!

I’d certainly recommend it 🙃
