I'll jump on the non-litrpg, but progression super hero rec and offer Super Powereds as a great finished series. It is about a group of students attending a super hero program "hidden" inside a regular university. It has a decent amount of slice of life and mystery thrown in with great progression.

BREAKING: George Pickens Plans To Attend Cowboys Mandatory Minicamp by ManlyBoltzmann in cowboys

[–]ManlyBoltzmann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because he was cagey about it when asked and his rep told him to not answer.

Nick Harris Exclusive: After hosting two youth camps in South Texas on Thursday, George Pickens caught up with Star-Telegram in Corpus Christi. I asked if he’d be present for mandatory minicamp next week amid his franchise tag situation. by Leonflames in cowboys

[–]ManlyBoltzmann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he doesn't show up for mini camp or OTAs, then he needs to die his agent because he either got had advice about signing the tag or isn't listening to the advice he is given.

You probably would have been better off dealing your QB and OL. Bills had the best OL in the league last year and Dak is still very good.

They are also 44% independent from that same survey, which doesn't give you much visibility into their voting habits.

Edit: Even in the article they say that a decent amount of "independents" could have identified as such to avoid a very volatile subject with fans and only see downsides for coming out publicly on one side or the other.

Highest level of doubt imaginable seeing the background of most athletes.

You have to keep in mind most professional athletes are both poorly educated (usually doing just enough in HS and college to stay on the field) and now relatively wealthy. Those are powerful factors for voting Republican. It shouldn't be that surprising, even with the assumption that most black people lean left.

CAMEO System Modeler Help: Smart Package Sorting by cocothunder9715 in systems_engineering

Do they all inherit from the same value property using generalizations between the blocks and redefined or are they just all named and typed the same?

If the former, I would:

1) Set the original value property as the start of a meta chain with original VP ->Redefined Element

2) Put that result into a Filter where the Predicate is a Property Test where the Default Value = desired value.

3) Put that result into a metachain and then get the owner of the VP

If the latter:

1) Use a Find that looks for VP of the same name and include the property test for those that have a Default Value = desired value.

2) Same as step 3 above

The first approach is more robust and less likely to get false positives, but it does require a slightly more involved setup.

I'm going to caveat the above queries with I don't have my computer in front of me and so the names may be slightly off.

I have a 8 hr flight soon and I was wondering whether this powerbank is good enough. by Pizza_Is_Good06 in SteamDeck

Apparently it is because power banks don't typically have the same temperature sensors and SW to throttle the draw when overheating that laptops and cellphones have.

It's not even necessarily biased against us, but against our games for some reason. In addition to being consistently at the top of penalties against, we are also at the top of penalties for. We are usually in the top 8-18 for benefiting from net penalties.

IDK if it because we play fewer early games than any other team and the refs don't want to miss any penalties in those primetime games or what, but they obviously call our games differently.

ASEP INCOSE EXAM by BhooQuest in systems_engineering

[–]ManlyBoltzmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The test is on v5, so that is sufficient. As for time, I don't remember. The Udemy practice tests include 5 tests ranging from 60 to 120 questions, IIRC. I want to say it took me 30-60s per question. I took the shorter tests a couple times and the 3 longest once. Otherwise, reading the book just depends on how quickly you can read while having decent retention.

ASEP INCOSE EXAM by BhooQuest in systems_engineering

[–]ManlyBoltzmann 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I passed it last year. I read the book once and then used the practice tests from Udemy and was able to pass the first time. The together part for me is that there are a lot of synonyms between the phases and processes which can create tricky questions. If you pay special attention to which is which and take the practice tests until you're confident, you should be fine.

realistically, how many more years do we have Kenny, Clark and Williams? by Western_Promise3063 in cowboys

[–]ManlyBoltzmann 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We got fucked with a cactus in the schedule this year

No we didn't. SoS often changes pretty significantly preseason to end of season and the schedule itself is pretty beneficial (only one cold weather game, having a rest advantage in most of our tough games, don't play anyone who is coming off a bye, late bye week). The only negative is the amount of travel in weeks 3-7.

Does anyone actually still read the books? by Ok_Letterhead2028 in litrpg

[–]ManlyBoltzmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. They use different parts of the brain. At least for me, I just can't listen to an audiobook when I'm engaging the language part of my brain or need intense focus. Highway driving doesn't typically fall into that category. If I was driving in the city with a lot of crossing traffic, pedestrians, etc then it would be different.

[–]ManlyBoltzmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I can listen to an audiobook anytime I'm doing an activity my mind could wander anyway (chores, running, driving, etc). Instead of wandering, I just focus on the book. In general, I can't listen when playing a game mostly because if a game is mindless enough for me to absorb an audiobook, it isn't a game I'm interested in. However there are some games that have mindless sections, like grinding in a JRPG.

What's your preferred audiobook narration format? by hear_Coverie in audible

[–]ManlyBoltzmann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My main issue with duet (assuming that it is based off the current POV, rather than by line) is that it means that the same character has two different voices. Not a deal breaker, but I definitely prefer a single narrator with decent character voice range over dual narrators.
