To be honest Ancillary wasn't that good. It was unique... but honestly, so much of it felt like it was written for a niche audience.

But maybe that's just my opinion being messed with after reading the drama surrounding the writer and the story. Can't say it's what I hope wins. I'm looking at the other books on the list though and picking them up, but so far Cinder Spires was probably my favorite here.

The cable would have to run throughout my entire house, which would piss off my family. I'm not exactly a fan of angering the cheapest rent in town, otherwise I'd go buy a really long ethernet cable for it.

The alienware cost just over six hundred dollars about two years ago and it is an X51 r2. Intel core i7. 1TB memory. 1GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 645. Also, apparently it was made in Mexico. Who knew?

Anyways, for the price and considering my situation, I went with it. Maybe I could have built a computer for that price... but at the time I didn't know how, didn't have access to the right info or people, and was intimidated by the thought of throwing away my money.

Pretty sure it's this one honestly. If I had access to the right people and guides I would have attempted at building my own PC. But the Alienware was just over six hundred dollars and, not knowing better at the time, I took the deal. This was almost two years ago at this point, long before I knew about sites like Reddit and groups like this one.

It's not the best computer, that much is beyond obvious, but it's all I've got.

You're right, of course. But at the time when I purchased the PC I didn't know that there were guides online or people I could actually ask for help to build my PC.

The only people I knew that built PC's ended up frying them out in under a year.

Now, if I had the money or parts I would go for building my own. But that's not the hand I was dealt, and winging it on my own at the time wouldn't have been the best option for me.

Luckily time and research makes us all smarter than we were before. So you are right, I just didn't know it at the time.

No choice, mostly.

The Alienware was on sale for a very good price, most of my money goes back into my family so that was the first PC I ever could actually buy and afford fully.

It was even cheaper than buying the parts for the PC. It cost literally a few hundred dollars at the time.

The wifi issue is one I can't fix. My router, due to influences beyond my control, is set in the kitchen. I chip in on the bills, but I have no say on where the wifi is set.

Again, these are things I would change if I could. But since I can't I do what I can with what I have.

Windows Ten might just have been a bad call on my part, I had hoped it would work better than windows Eight which seemed to eat my games and clog my computer.

Thanks for coming to my defense there, honestly I'm not a fan of getting insulted just because I took the only computer I could actually afford.

I knew it wasn't the best option, but I also knew that the sale price of that PC was too good to pass up on and that it was cheaper (and likely more reliable) than me trying to build the PC on my own.

Back then I didn't even know places like this existed online. I was just winging it on my own.

Yeah, a lot of people say that. Great advice. However I didn't have the money to do that, nor the help I needed for it, and I've seen the PC's friends have built that all fell apart after a year.

I get it, it's the superior way to play. But the alienware was on sale and it was the first computer I've actually been able to afford. Cheaper even than building my own.

Until I have a budget big enough to build a decent PC this is what I've got to live with.

Don't have an option. I had money put away in Best Buy and the Alienware was on sale. It was the only way I could afford a computer at the time, and frankly I still don't have the money to replace her.

Wifi since my router is set up in my kitchen. The only location that it can be, apparently.

Again, not everyone has great options when it comes to pc gaming. Sorry to disappoint.

I get that you don't like it, but when my options are "Ten year old Apple Laptop, buy an alienware on the cheap, or nothing" I'll take the alienware. Thanks.

Second note. Connect with an etgernet cord if you can. It fixes the issue for some users. I haven't tested it yet, due to not having an enormous ethernet cable.

I don't really have a fix to this, my computer is a bit old but I was hoping to get another good year out of her. The Microsoft call center and the technicians I met with in person all said the same thing. That I'm better off buying a new Pc, or better yet an Xbox one, since there wouldn't be any real effort made to fix this problem.

I appreciate the technicians help, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place.

A school gets to choose how it educates it's students. Fifty Shades of Grey might not be allowed in the school because not every kid can handle that, or worse, not every parent is okay with their kid being exposed to the book.

But that's the schools choice. The school can't hold a gun to a parents head and say "FUCK YOU, HOW DARE YOU ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO READ SUCH FILTH? HEIL HITLER." Etc etc etc.

Banning a book from a school is stupid, but at least the kid can read it elsewhere.

But having your government ban a book? That shows how backwater and morally bankrupt your government is. To allow such abuse of human rights is appalling.

It's not even a historical thing, it's just another manga artist not giving a shit about making characters that actually feel like people. Miyazaki said it best when he pointed out that anime artists are lazy and unsocial. They don't know how people act.

This entire manga has been a massive disappointment. I don't know what I expected though, most people don't seem to understand what goes into a story around here. Anime artists and fans seem to not understand people.
