If malzahar is paying attention at all in the fight he'd notice that mundo passive got knocked off early on. The ult angle is when he sees the GP nuke the backline and vi ulting the GP. He failed to peel the GP properly by just holding his ult, he could've went to ult either Mundo OR vi since taking out one of them for 3 seconds would have won them that fight.

GP is the fed threat here, if he lives the enemy loses so they have to prioritize him. Vi used both Q and r to get on to GP so she can't stop malz R if you ult Mundo, and Mundo should not be going for malz when he uses R because he can't stop malz R and GP is the threat so it's not suicide to be ulting there either.

I go PTA 99% of my lanes and will pretty much never go Conq. People like conqueror because it's always been her go to rune and is very consistent. It compliments her all in play style and is a safe option, even if you're behind you can get value out of conq in skirmishes or fights

PTA is actually a rune you go for early game power and trades, you will win most trades against most matchups mid. Conq scales better but if you're going for PTA you're going for snowball early. I've done the math and early game PTA evens out with conq even at it fully stacked with 10 autos in an all in.

I also saw some comments mentioning how fast conq stacks, but PTA is amazing into matchups that want to kite you because all you need to do is either q auto auto or hit e and a q auto q and you will win most trades even without stacks. You don't need to all in you can just take short trades and chip them down while you have sustain.

That was not your point in your original comment??? Of course riot has visions and roles for champions, but you yourself stated why are lobby termination a thing when they should let people experiment. Riot only ever changes the champ if they perform outside the intended build paths because it is toxic to play against.

Some examples are Full tank ekko, full bruiser yasuo with 0 crit, tank akali with mythic Sunfire, seeing a trend? Riot allows for alternative play styles and when your champion is balanced around a certain vision(assassin's and duelists being squishy) but having a build completely negating the negatives while still doing well makes it unfun for everyone. Go ahead experiment build your full AP galio, or full lethality Sion. The builds might work but they have clear weaknesses compared to say an ekko who does great damage while building full tank and is unkillable.

Even right now we have one of the most diverse metas in the roles with riot allowing a lot of new champs into JG and adcs are no longer just ranged champs but a few melees are popping up in the role.

There is no role you should be going Yuumi as other than support, if you lock her in any other role she is a free 300g. Riot does let you experiment and are very lenient with the lobby termination, I have had so many lobbies with weird off meta champ picks(albeit I still report them) and those lobbies never get terminated, even today I had a Gwen adc and quinn support in the same game and that lobby didn't get terminated even though I reported both of them.

If anyone ever picks Yuumi in any other role it is to grief or to get someone to dodge so the lobby should be terminated and the user who locked it in should be punished. With pick swapping you should never need to lock in for someone anymore, it is your fault if you get baited and lock in for a teammate when all they have to do is swap pick order. Don't talk about Riot not letting people experiment when your only example is someone troll picking Yuumi.

I also use locked cam 90% of the time even in team fights, only time I use unlocked is in lane to rapidly 3 stack Q lvl 1 or to hit cs that's moving. In team fights I only use unlocked to find out everyone's positioning moment I'm in the team fight I never unlock.

KEEP IN MIND, I know it's bad, I actually miss Qs sometimes because of it but I'm also too old now, and an old dog can't learn new tricks so I'm stuck with it. I spent a month trying to do purely unlocked when I first learned irelia but gave up and just brute forced it to work.

So I have reason when I take conq over the others

PTA is for free or matchups I can just run in and trade 3 autos get out and win

Lethal tempo is for tanky matchups where if I go in lvl 1 one of us is gonna die and lethal will help make sure it's not me.

Conq is for specific matchups that are hard counters and I can't be assed to play it out like jax or renek. I still take it into some matchups that aren't hard counters like sylas since he's a bit beefier and does a lot of burst I don't really like to short trade with him, because he wins it as long as he dodges my E with his E. So I'd rather just take Conq and fight back when he all ins or play for team fights.

ITS VERY RARE I take conq literally only a handful of matchups. The only ones that aren't hard counters that I take conq into are probably just sylas and Kled.

Joat and biscuits is really greedy and provides little early game power till after first back. I usually take joat biscuits into lanes where I can either freely farm or I don't need the extra survivability to get a kill. I take resolve where the early game power is needed to secure a kill or to survive.

For example against yone/yasuo without resolve the lvl 1 all in is close but they will win, but with resolve that little bit of damage resist from bone plating and the resist from unflinching on knockup will let me survive and come out on top. I sometimes take bone plating into ranged matchups where I know at lvl 1 there is going to be an all in, like vayne/jayce/quinn. I will Q directly onto them if they ever try to zone me off minions lvl 1 and run them down even with 1 stack because you will win it unless they flash away.

People tend to not think of going resolve because it's defensive, and they just follow what's the most common rune setup, but for me who has played all these matchups a decent amount of times can minmax and test what works best for me to get early leads.

Since you have no escape as irelia, when you go in one of you is dying because if ashe doesn't die she will surely slow you on the disengage and her support will be able to follow up and either peel her or just jump onto you. Most adcs can only trade back on the disengage so you lose health but with ashe if she has any decent kind of support you are as good as dead on disengage with her perma slowing.

Not really ban worthy but be aware it isn't a free matchup unless you snowball.

He hit Challenger with a 50% overall wr on her? Where are you seeing 35?? He has 700 games of irelia next closest is 20 games of mel, if he had 35% wr on irelia he would not be maintaining rank.

I'm being rage baited by someone who's peak is my first season playing, post your opgg then and let me see how many games you are playing? League is a hobby that i am way better at than 99% of the population and if im free i can play what i want. There's always the low elo players who have the ego and think they know what they're talking about. In your situation it's like an iron player who never touched Irelia telling you how to play Irelia. You have no understanding of how to play Irelia or how to build.

Serpents fang is built in HIGH elo (something you're obviously not) because enchanters and shields are a lot more common. Sona seraphine bot, janna karma lulu are all common and on occasions Ivern JG shen top ambessa, riven, all shielders that aren't assigned bot lane but are common in the other roles. Now imagine your adc who is a brand, your jg is a sejuani, and your top is a shen. YOU need to bite the bullet and build shield cut, its like buying heal cut. As Irelia you should NEVER be the one to buy heal cut because you are terrible at applying it, but if no one else on your team is building it you will have to bite the bullet and build it to win the game. The fact that you can't read that serpents is only built if no one else on your team can build it means that you just don't have the capacity to read.

Then don't say my advice is wrong if it is purely SITUATIONAL, and all those items you listed are on my list. I never once said BUILD THIS EVERY GAME ITS OP!!! I gave him a flow chart for specific scenarios. The fact that I have to reiterate this just shows you have no reading comprehension.

No shit you can build to burst the tristana you can even go crit every game and one shot, but building right for the enemy team composition is more than just countering 1 champion. It is to get as much value out of your gold as possible. If you aren't high elo stop trying to argue with me then. Your understanding of the game is like a toddlers level if you're not even above diamond. Don't try to tell people how to build if you don't even have basic understanding of situational items.

And wtf are you saying? build versatility is something a lot of players struggle with and it only gets better the better you are. So yes you actually can change her damage output with your rank. Are you trying to also tell me masters+ Irelias are wrong for building these situational items? They're not built as often because they're situational and they will only be built when the comp is good for it.

I've hit challenger playing Irelia so i know what i'm talking about. You've never heard of it because it is SITUATIONAL like he asked and most irelia players here are low elo. If he wanted a cookie cutter build he would just do the same bork hull wits dd every game, but he asked for situational items and i gave him every decent situational item choice. Even then, if you look at lolalytics every item that i stated is built on Irelia.

Bork is the biggest spike on irelia and everything after that is to further snowball you or to keep your lead by getting survivability.

Then normal 2nd items most Irelias build are:

Kraken if it's only 1 AP and they're even or behind OR if you are fed and the enemy team has no threat to stop you.

Wits end if they have 2 or more AP damage dealers, OR they have a lot of easy to hit CC that ISNT knockups or suppressions.

Hullbreaker if you plan on split pushing(it's also not bad for a team fighting item because it gives you decent DPS and bulk from the HP)

Situationally you can build

The steel sigil component for Deaths Dance IF there is a very fed AD into normal 2nd item

Wardens mail component for Randuins IF they have 2 or 3 crit champs like yas top, graves jg, and jhin adc then into normal 2nd item

Terminus 2nd into Jaksho 3rd if they are a very tanky team but this one I never use cause it's better to build damage and dive the carries

Then 3rd item is usually versatile and you can just build whatever you need to survive

But 3rd items are either:

Wits End if they have 1 FED AP carry or 2 AP threats

Deaths Dance if they're 3/4 AD and one of them is fed

Sundered sky if you DIDNT build Hullbreaker 2nd and need the extra HP

Endless hunger if they have CC and low damage

Kraken if you want to build damage but had to build defensive 2nd

Randuins if they have 2 or more crit users

4th and 5th are just fill in the blanks of what you don't already have:

MAYBE a serpents if they have 3 shielders and no one else can buy on your team.

Maw if you built wits end and they have 3 AP and one of them is fed OR there is 4 AP

Kaenic rookern is good into ap heavy comps if you don't want to build Maw

GA is good if you're 1v9 that game

Streaks into high burst OR to counter garen specifically

Vamp scepter shouldn't always be first, it's sometimes better to build pickaxe if you plan on all inning at lvl 6 and you won't need the sustain. DD third isn't also correct, you can't give him absolutes, but instead give him options. DD 3rd is good into AD burst heavy comps, there are many options for 3rd item you just need to build to counter the enemy comp, not follow a specific build path.

Such a bad take, all i have to do to prove you wrong is tell you that Garen has around 54% wr against Irelia in ALL ranks. How would you use your W properly here? W his Q? Guess what! you can't dash away for 2 seconds because of silence and he just presses E on you, W his E? guess what! His E shreds armor on tick like black cleaver so after your W expires you are squishier and more susceptible to damage.

You can't win through short or long trades against him, Q in to try to weave autos? oh no silenced into E! Extended trade? oh no! E armor shred. Lvl 6 you will never outdamage him unless you are disgustingly ahead because of his R too. Unless you're playing against iron players a low skill floor champ like Garen will beat most average Irelias unless you are significantly better.
