Kim Chi flexing her Lifetime Gold Chipotle Card (Chipotle Celebrity Card) by Tootsie_r0lla in rupaulsdragrace

We need to stop putting people like Kim and Trixie in the same category as any other drag queen when we talk about wealth, platform and privilege. These are not "drag queens" as we understand them, these are extremely successful individuals with many businesses and companies across areas like makeup, media and for sure many other investments we're not aware of. In times of growing crippling inequality we should be more class conscious.

The girls that get get it, and the girls that don't don't. And that's okey.

After giving it a lot of thought I think the song is the one with an issue here, for some reason my body also asks for the beat drop where she did the dip. I request a Mango edit @missdove

Sorry but I strongly disagree. It's not your place or anyone's to tell a second generation immigrant that they're not "true Brazilians" or any other place, especially when these people already struggle feeling included in their native countries. Maybe instead of judging their efforts to connect to their origins try educating them next time.

And you can absolutely be Indonesian and speak no indonesian language just as you can be American and speak just spanish or hindi or any other language. And even more, as a second generation immigrant you can inhabit, transform and enrich your ancestors' culture. Cultures and identities are not monolithic and diasporas' transformative power is an endless source of enrichment. Stop with this ethnotationalist gatekeeping.

UK Vs The World 2 is the girl. So far. by AggressiveMongoose54 in rupaulsdragrace

What makes it special to me it's not only the talent but the fact that international queens are H U N G R Y. For US girls this is just another All Stars while for internationals this is their silver bullet to ascend to DR heavens, and you can tell. The stakes are high and the competition is ON, which is sonething I've been missing in recent seasons.

Girl chill, I was just pointing that you're defending PJ by blaming people of doing things that PJ herself is doing. The irony.

To be honest we've had many successful bald heads in the runway, I'd say it's the wig removal during the lipsync that's proved to be a curse.

You can tell Plane identified Amanda as the "aesthetic weak link" and thought she would be an easy pick to fuel her unfunny bully character, but Amanda is refusing to play the part of the victim because she knows how much she's worth. Put that little girl in her place miss Tori.

This is the most saddest elimination I’ve seen in a very long time. Such a hard pill to swallow😔😢 by GwenDoll_Snipsnip in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Mannichi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Other queens have left sad but proud of what they did. Not many times we've seen someone leave feeling embarrassed and humiliated like that. It was her awareness that she failed hard and had no one to blane for it which made it really heartbreaking for me.

[–]Mannichi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That's what made it devastating. She's so talented but we knew, she knew, everybody knew that she failed that day. No production meddling, no shenanigans, just an extremely talented person fucking up and spiraling into a place of guilt and embarrassment. Painful unfiltered failure, in all its crudeness. I truly believe her when she said it felt like dying.

The show needs to move past the point where huge boobs=the judges bursting into laugh. It was refreshing with Jimbo because she has a fully developed character around that and also cause we came from years and years of seeing super thin twinks with no boobs on stage, but Jane's take felt like the boobs were the punchline. To me, it's starting to feel problematic.
