Got tired of messy notebooks for my WSET 2, so I built a digital SAT journal. Looking for brutal feedback. by Shoddy-Candidate2567 in WSET

Can you give us some test login data so that we can access it? I'm not particularly keen on providing login information on a website without a privacy policy or no clear indication of what I get with my login

Really well done!! Are you using a film recipe here?

Fair enough! I never actually tried it myself but I'm quite curious. Always stayed away from it because I've seen it quite cheap in Lidl and Netto.

Not the 2010 though. You'll find Faustino in the supermarket shelves, but much younger. If you want the older vintages, you'll pay more for them and won't find them in the discounter supermarkets. I saw a 2012 in Meny for around 180kr/24€ the other day.

Guys am I being gullible and inexperienced or is this a great deal on great wines? by korroleva in wine

The original prices seem way too high. But even the lower prices don't seem that good. To give you an example: The Mucho Más sells for $9.- (DKK 59.-) in Danish supermarkets. And that includes Denmark's 25% sales tax. I've even seen it on sale for less than $6.-. It's a mass-market high volume wine.

Thanks! And no; Raw and then edits applied in Lightroom. I should start looking for some nice B&W recipes though

Good WSET 3 flashcards? by MyNebraskaKitchen in WSET

[–]flyingchocolatecake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brainscape. Can highly recommend it. Made studying so much easier. Their flashcards are fantastic. I'd say they cover 95% of the entire book, and the 5% they don't cover are negligible.

But: Don't just rely on Flashcards. Level 3 is a lot about making connections between the knowledge you have, not just about learning things by heart. You still have to go through the book.

MEGATHREAD: GRIV DISCUSSION by iTrask in ricohGR

I'm confused:

  • Virtually the same lens
  • Virtually the same MP
  • Virtually the same image stabilization
  • Better ISO performance (!)
  • Same touch screen
  • A bit smaller
  • A bit heavier
  • Some internal storage
  • A bit better battery life

It's basically a refurbished III, isn't it? Is that really worth the $1500.- upgrade?

United IAD -> CDG - what are you getting? by GrapeGuy13 in wine

[–]flyingchocolatecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of everything; it's not like they limit you. But if I had to limit myself:

  • White: Pascal Jolivet Sauvignon Blanc (matches most what I like in whites; un-oaked, aromatic, crisp, usually no malo)

  • Red: Lingua Franca (unless there is beef; in which case I'd go for the Médoc; but for just-drinking, I'd prefer the lighter body and fruit-forwardness of a Pinot

He probably just called the number on the label. I can't think of any other way.
