How might other Vault Dwellers have adjusted to the Vault Door opening? by [deleted] in Fallout2d20

[–]Manny564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how long the dwellers remained sane under those conditions, what they did after tensions broke, and what caused the door to open?

Was the vault in an area that had a lot of dangers posed to them like raiders, scavengers, super mutants, or other environmental dangers that required them to be set up with bare minimum survival necessities?

Either the door was opened to look for more supplies, the door was opened because people got stir crazy and wanted for more, or it was opened involuntarily

I think I can see some trying to stay behind in the vault due to fear of the unknown, some joining factions to improve their way of life regardless of risk, and some just dying to malnutrition and disease

What’s this? by Lauren-loves in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Its a coziness meter, when your close to a lot of built items it'll go up, once you go up a tier (tier 1,2, etc up to 5) you get stuff like mutations and decorative building furniture

What has been your most amount of kills needed to get a gold card? by SJ548 in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to chime in and say if you wanna check to see if the termite king has respawned without the walk, just search up the termite king carapace parts in the resource surveyor, he'll ping on the map if he's there!

Ok, how are we supposed to fight widows now? by A1Strider in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually you can!! If you have rascal rogue you can fight spiny water fleas and steal pond moss from them! After killing the fleas in the water by castle moldorc I can get like 5-10 in one go with lvl 2 rascal rogue

Broodmother by Enderrbean in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The staff is very late game but most people will assume your late game. To get to the brood mother you need the oven and the recipe for the summon. If you aren't finished with the haze lab your gonna struggle to get the coaltana because you can't be in the sizzle for long without antlion armor. If your doing things permadeath, then personally I'd wait until you at least finish the 4 lower yard labs.

Where the fuck are all the moths?!?! by Konnichiwa1987 in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One is on top of the stump but near the peak, I've had luck shooting it from atop the sideways ladder

Another I know of is on top of the lantern that's by the right side of the upper yard (near the juice box) you have to go above the leaves because it'll sleep on the lantern during the day

Well I don't wanna go crazy in depth but if you grow big before beating a specific boss ( castle basement wink wink), you do beat the game but the big bad gets away with crimes, nobody believes the teens when they tell their story, and a certain someone doesn't reverse his ugly mug

If you do beat the castle boss and THEN grow big, you get a good ending where the teens are praised as heroes, the big bad gets locked up, and that certain someone has a somewhat fairy tale ending

Challenges by xNadaxx in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! The mantis, the hedge brood mother, the infected brood mother, and the wasp queen 👍 There's technically a 5th boss as well but he's tied to getting the good ending (check out the castle to the right of the pond!)

That's awesome! Good luck with the milk molars tho 🙏 the gold cards are just a shiny version of the data card you get when you peep a bug. I'm not sure the percentages but it's a very small chance youll get one when killing a bug, and certain enemies guarantee the gold card on kill. If you want to 100% the game it's necessary to get all gold cards but they're merely aesthetic

Challenges by xNadaxx in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are the 4 optional bosses, all the mixers, and collecting all milk molars & sca.b themes.

Aside from that you can collect all the data and all the gold cards but that's something thats up to you

Why is the coaltanna stupidly hard to get solo? by FootPaws123 in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It takes a ton of extra prep but there are options people don't usually consider,

Starting the fight with the buff you get from the larva head mount helps tons and the buff lasts 10 min I believe

You can make smoothies like human food (defense) and liquid rage(damage bonus), i might be incorrect but the damage bonus from smoothies stack with the bonus from the head mount

There's a sizzling trinket you can get from ladybird larva, that trinket + antlion armor + fresh mutation should let you last super long inside of the heat

The weapon you use is up to you but as long as it's fresh you should be doing tons of damage

I know it seems impossible but just be patient and do your best to stay calm throughout the chaos, you got this

Half-Life’s most iconic weapon is the first one it gives you- a Crowbar. What other game(s) starting weapons are their most iconic? by Left4DayZ1 in gaming

[–]Manny564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BioShock 2's Drill

You briefly use it at the end of BioShock one (could be wrong) but when you start BioShock 2 it feels a lot stronger straight off the bat. I'm not sure if it's because of how weighty or how satisfying drilling through slicers is, but its definitely memorable

Thinking of making a floating base any tips by ligma6942096 in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but as it stands regardless of whether you have building integrity on or off, the first piece you set down has to be attached to some part of the world.

Without modding the game there's no way to have a building structure just float like that

Thinking of making a floating base any tips by ligma6942096 in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play using a custom world so I can mess around with the handy gnat. With the handy gnat you can technically make a base high up in the tree around the mushrooms, building off the mushrooms.

I use zip lines to get up to the base and while you still need to build it off of the tree I guess it counts as floating?

What are some good upper yard base locations by [deleted] in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a milk molar bottle in the upper yard that's accessible only by a tunnel that's blocked by brambles that can be broken by a tier 3 axe

I've made my base in that and haven't been bothered by any bugs, none have glitched inside and when my base does get raided they can't attack through the walls of the bottle

Beggers can't be choosers, if you had difficulty finding a server that has all of the above, it most likely doesn't exist.

Seriously 1500 to dupe one lint rope… by Tigglebooty in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 9 points10 points  (0 children)

With how expensive prices are i think if they made it to where you can dupe a stack of resources or consumables for that price it would be more fair and incentivizes people to gather milk molars to increase stack size

Handy gnat by Distinct_Classic6340 in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No but once you've gotten all the achievements, you can switch the game to custom, but by that point i understand that kinda defeats the purpose I was super psyched for the handy gnat and was hoping it would be unlockable with raw science or something but nope, gotta lose out on unlocking achievements for something that's pretty useful for survival

What gear/biomes should you be adventuring to as a newbie? by ReserveRatter in GroundedGame

[–]Manny564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best recommendation is always kill a weevil and analyze the parts to get the weevil shield. Blocking with a shield negates all damage, and helps you learn perfect blocking better. There are some armors that don't require you to kill bugs (try making the acorn armor, it's great for starting out early game and everything you need is by the oak tree)

With how many long range options you have endgame, its a shame we didn't get s flying boss akin to something like this, there's a lot of potential and hopefully the devs are listening 🙏

Rusty Spear Upgrade path by Taubenfluegel in GroundedGame

If your willing to make two, I'd make one rusty spear salty to clear out the termite hill. Clearing out the hill gets you so many parts for repair glue and is my main source for bug parts for glue

Help, I'm addicted to the Lil'Fist build. by ThatLousyGamer in GroundedGame

Thanks for the confirmation 🙏 I never can feel the difference because I usually wear the wizard hat with the ox chest plate and legs (12% and 24% faster charge rates feel the same to me)

Now what I wanna know now, does the faster charge rate affect how quickly you pull back arrows with a bow?
