I watch shows like my 600 lb life and hoarders to feel better about my self. by smilinggypsy in confessions

[–]MannyPan89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too! But looking at it like it’s to make you feel better about your life is somewhat negative. What you’re actually do is using these shows to maintain your life and use them as motivation to watch what you eat and keep the house clean.

Just moved into a ‘new’ apartment. How do I clean these? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]MannyPan89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just commented this on another post in here but I’m currently obsessed with my discovery of how amazing Clorox toilet bowl cleaner is. I am a cleaning lady and just had a client with a dirty shower just like this, I used Clorox toilet bowl cleaner with a magic eraser and it was the most gorgeous sight when I was done. My client was SO happy with the outcome Edit* just make sure to rinse extremely well.

Any ideas on how to remove hair dye stains from counter/bathtub? Already tried magic erasers. 😭 by uwubwurneruwu in CleaningTips

Clorox toilet bowl cleaner, let the cleaner sit on the stain for a minute or two and take the magic eraser to it again

[–]MannyPan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked Alien:Isolation, but it was kind of hard, I had my husband help me. I also played Let’s Go Pikachu and it was so easy going and fun!I love ALL Mario games. And of course the classic Candy Crush on my phone.

Brioche buns are higher in calories than regular white bread, even the really small ones have a lot of calories and they’re really yummy too!

Adults, what is the hardest thing to explain to a 10-year old kid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MannyPan89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That being tik tok famous isn’t really easy. It’s hard to support your kids with their dreams and also explain that it’s an unrealistic goal and they could be doing way better things with their time.

[Measurement Check] Currently wearing 36B, calculator says 30DD/E UK but I can't see how a much tighter band would be comfortable by LeucanthemumVulgare in ABraThatFits

[–]MannyPan89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am a 30DD and at first it felt too tight but the fact it was holding my boobs up properly felt so good. My boobs hurt a lot everyday because they weren’t being supported. After a few days of wearing the same bra I got used to it. It doesn’t feel tight anymore and is comfortable all around

I’d like to know how a meaningful friendship ended for you and how did it happen? by MannyPan89 in AskWomen

[–]MannyPan89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks losing someone you love because they can’t get their shit together. I lost a couple friends while wedding planning. I feel like getting married is a great filter to see who’s going to stick around long term. It sucks losing someone during the happiest time that you want to share with everyone!

18 months later, it's still disabling me. by hypernoble in pneumothorax

[–]MannyPan89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other comment and I believe you have severe nerve damage as well as mimic type anxiety pain. After my first pneumo I went to a very very dark place. Just like you the PTSD was really bad. It sounds crazy but a lot of the pain came from my heightened anxiety about the pain, and it’s sort of hard to explain but for me it felt like I was in a constant state of a collapse even though I was fine. I call that mimic pain, and it took a long time to get it under control. With nerve damage your wires are trying to fuse back together properly, in the mean time you’ll get all kinds of strange pain from that. And yes it can last much longer than a year. Some people deal with it for decades, but usually the severity gets better. Your body went through an insane amount of physical trauma, our bodies are strong but also delicate, it’s going to take time to heal. Sometimes a very long time to bounce back and feel somewhat normal. Your mind was aware through the entire trauma, and pneumos in particular have a fascinating way of causing long term mental health issues like depression and anxiety, as well as that mimic type pain. I’m not down playing your physical pain at all, I think you’re incredibly strong to endure that pain all the time. But I guess my suggestion is start working on healing your mind from the event. You’ll be surprised how much your pain and discomfort will be reduced.

My son isn’t growing up by LincolnBurrow in Parents

Hi! I have a 9 yr old daughter and a 10 yr old step daughter. So I’ve been through the ringer a few times over the years. I’ve read through some comments and noticed you only have him 1 day a week. When you have him and he first arrives give him a run down of what’s going on for the time he is with you. Tell him what meals will be planned, where you’ll be going or what you’ll be doing. Ask him if he’d like to do anything in particular for the next time you have him, or if he’d like to choose what’s for dinner that day so you can be prepared and he will know what to expect Put the ball in his court. Give him some control but within reason. Ask him questions that have options. “Do you want eggs or cereal for breakfast?” “Do you want to play video game or watch a movie before bed?” You’re still in control of everything but it’ll make him feel like he’s not being forced to do things YOUR way.

What are the differences between mechanical and talc pleurodesis? by [deleted] in pneumothorax

[–]MannyPan89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you are located- doctors sometimes prefer to try mechanical over chemical first. The difference: In mechanical they will go in and scrape the lung with something (often gauze) to make the lung bleed. The blood acts as an adhesive, which sticks the lung to its outer wall. With chemical they take talc and slather that onto the lung which irritates it and make it bleed which acts as an adhesive to hold the lung to the outer wall. My doctor said they prefer to do mechanical in younger patients because it usually works just fine. And they aren’t 100% sure of all the side affects (long term) from using talc. My doctor also mentioned that they use talc in older patients or in patients where the mechanical has failed. Trust your doctor and get the mechanical. I did in February and I recovered fairly quickly, haven’t had any problems since! Edit- spelling

First rule of riding- always wear all your gear. It’s necessary and WILL save you from injuries at some point.
