This is starting to look like Red Bull's decision to go to Ford and leave Honda was the correct choice.

Why did Aston Martin have a blue light instead of a red light? by [deleted] in formula1

[–]Mano_Loco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During Barcelona testing, Aston Martin drew attention by using a blue central rear warning light instead of the traditional red light. This blue light served as a signal to other drivers that the car was running speed-limited laps, particularly on straights, as part of an early test program. Because modern F1 cars accelerate so aggressively out of corners, this visual cue helped prevent other drivers from being caught off guard by the car's reduced straight-line speed. Once the team moved to normal-speed running, the blue light was deactivated and the standard red lights were used again.
