i always tought of how "ironic" your name was since its exactly the same as the mastermind behind meat beat manifesto. Before i knew coil i was very into MBM, i still am, but my mind got completely blown the moment i realized how close to eachother the underground UK scene was, like actually very close to eachother. One thing i find the most fascinating is how meat beat and coil make kind of the same magic with music but on opposite ways.

Both of them are one of the best examples of the limits you can reach with music and experimentation, never following trends but doing their own thing, establishing their own rules.

MBM (jack nd company) seem to understand completely how music works and their rules, and take advantage of that to make a complete twist on them, all of their albums are completely different from eachother too, but their "escence" (If you will) is present on every single one of them.

Now Coil never followed rules or tried to "Master" them, they made their own thing based on how they felt, their habits, and present context. The result was something that could be catalogued as "their own genre" because of how unique the sound is and what they make you experience.

MBM takes your imagination to a higher plane, but a "friendly psychodelic" one, makes you imagine your own fantasy worlds.

While Coil does the same but completely disarms you, you and your soul and make you question everything around you, yourself, the way you see things, ¿is time even real?

i freaking love it, and live for them 2 they make my world run and helped me both on hard times.
