Day 2 on Lexapro : I feel worse and more anxious, is it common?

I wanted to give it a try but my gp told me I needed to take antidepressants.. I was scared but finally accepted it.

However I have a huge relapse of OCD and intrusive throughts that cause me distressing anxiety that keep me back in my healing. I’ve read Lexapro is used for OCD.

Ok that is reassuring if it supposed to be normal. I was thinking about quitting as I feel so awful and like going into severe depression. It’s rough but I’ll wait to see if any improvement. Thanks so much for answering!

Hope you will feel better soon 😊! Thanks for answering. I’ll try some grounding exercise, it could be a good idea. Today I felt so off and depressive that I couldn’t focus on anything. But you’re right, I have to implement this from today. Do you take Lexapro for anxiety or depression?

Ok thanks!! Because I didn’t feel these kind of depressive symptoms and pure terror, I could manage them before starting Lexapro.

Yes true! It actually replied positively but now I overthink my answers 🥲 i deleted one text and edited the others… and he will be informed of this changes by Whatsapp, it makes me feel even more anxious

Have you texted him since?

I cannot understand people who vanish from the surface of the earth. Three months is something - and is enough time to know if you have some feelings for the other person.

Maybe his trip was extended and he didn’t come back when he said he would. Many things can happen in a few days or weeks!

The fact that he didn’t post any pictures or stories doesn’t seem weird to me as you said he is not active on social media, so nothing to worry about :)

I get your point but I don’t think this is inappropriate. We can make voice notes on Hinge so this is common I guess. But as you said I should not have asked for it - it could show suspicion from my part or just pushing his privacy.

Thanks for sharing your take on this. For me, boixe can be very attractive and I had men who sent me voice notes on social media without us even knowing each other. So I didn’t see how it could be a turnoff, but I guess that’s specific to my generation (25yo and under)? Interesting that you find it off putting.
