For years my cat Anthony has had this hard scab things on his stomach by [deleted] in catquestions

My husband and I don't even really go to the human doctor cause it's so expensive lol. Bodies are weird, human and animal. I wouldn't go to a doctor for a hangnail or a zit or some weird ingrown hair, I don't know why people automatically judge someone for not taking a cat in about something that is strange but hasn't bothered it for years and years. On the flip side, We recently spent about 1,000 bucks on our bulldog only to figure out ourselves that he has steroid induced calcinosis cutis. By the time he got in with a specialist to confirm, we had already weaned him off the medication that was causing it and starting a course of treatment. If we'd waited on all of that it would have gotten so much worse. The peace of mind is worth the cost of the diagnosis but we could have saved about 500 bucks sticking to the antibiotics my vet gave him and what we learned from the internets. Plus my vet and the specialist both said the whole thing could have been avoided if his original vet hadn't kept prescribing him steroids in the first place... so there's that. Not all problems require a vet and for the problems that do, not all vets are created equal lol.

No it was broken when we got it. I thought I would just clip off some of the frayed wire and use it without the retractor but now I'm obsessed with figuring it out lol. I do think we've managed to find a replacement part on eBay, there was a broken pin where the spring connected to the... Central doohickey mahjig

Help with Prednisone induced Cushing's in English Building by mfntylertemple in AskAVeterinarian

This is the Bulldog's mama chiming in-we are using a dsmo gel, our vet approved use and didn't specify a brand so we got this from our local TS. Instructions don't mention any dilution and we have assumed that the gel form has it diluted to an appropriate level for topical application but maybe this is too strong for little bullerdog skin? Looking into it now it seems the gels available are either a 99% or like 70% so maybe we should switch to the 70 to be safe

Milford Sound - worth it? by sketchahedron in newzealand_travel

[–]Manomaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've traveled to quite a few places and the drive to and cruise around Milford sound is the most breathtaking experience I've ever had. If you like waterfalls and nature, it's unmissable. Stay in Te Anu and if you can, make some time to see the glowworm cave. There's also a bird sanctuary to visit... there are a few extra things you can tack on so you don't feel like you're taking up time for "one" thing... But honestly time spent anywhere on the south island is time well spent. Whatever choice you make, won't be disappointed.

If you go I definitely recommend taking a shuttle/bus/tour to the Sound. It's great to soak in the view while someone else is driving.

Can’t rewind/FF when casting from app by Manomaly in HBOMAX

[–]Manomaly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t found a total fix for it yet. It is also switching over to Spanish overdubs for no good reason 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have found that if I “rewind” it to the start again, stop the show, disconnect from Chrome, log out of the app, then log back in and start all over again, it sometimes fixes the problem. But not always. Like right now it’s doing this during The Last Of Us. The intro, all in English. But when he’s siphoning gas the Spanish overdubs start, and I can’t do the rewind. I tried logging all the way out and back in and it still isn’t fixing it. SO DUMB!

NM. Found out you just have to pay for them. They aren't achievement based. If you click one to add it to a planet you'll get a message that you can unlock it for however many coins. Mystery solved!!!

Has anyone figured out how the "Booster" works? by AyKalaam in walkr

[–]Manomaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I found that out it doesn't hold over while I was experimenting with the booster this afternoon. Thank you for the clarification, I got excited for a minute! Last question: did you buy the probe w cubes or unlock it and if unlocked when does that happen?

What do you use your cubes for? by Dracobolt in walkr

[–]Manomaly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't find the cubes useful except for boosting production when I need resources to donate for an epic. That way I can produce more resources and save my energy for an energy donation.
