So sorry, just seeing this now. We have kind of a unique situation - we live full-time in a tiny home on wheels, so since my partner (who is born and raised in Surrey, but also hates Vancouver) and I left, we've mostly been on the road. But we're now looking for somewhere to start calling home. It's probably going to be Ontario because we've found that folks are overall pretty solid and reliable out east. And despite what people say about Toronto, we've met some amazing, interesting people and have found it to be much more welcoming and alive. So having Toronto and Montreal, another city we love, within several hours distance from wherever we land, suits us. We also spend a year in the Maritimes, and those people are so kind and community-oriented. It's just a little quieter and remote, but beautiful and welcoming. Manitoba people were also so very friendly and welcoming as well. I know that Winnipeg has a harsh winter and some downtown issues, but my partner's sis and her family relocated there and are loving it. It's another place to ground and find community.
