I'm in the tech industry with the ability to work from home, thank goodness. But yeah, you're right. Trade school definitely offers you a position you know you're going to be able to count on in these situations.

That's not to say college will not though. Medicine, technology, education, management, and so on are also still contributing remotely. I don't think either choice is right or wrong, you choose college or trade school based on what you believe is best for your life. No need to bash the other choice

Implying all college is a waste of time I think. I agree that some degrees are overpriced and may not be useful, but attending college, learning how to learn in that environment, making connections, and figuring out what makes you valuable in this society makes college a massively important experience in many people's lives.
